Edward Woodward in "Callan" reminds me of Daniel Craig

I’m watching the repeats of the 1960-70s TV spy drama “Callan” on the Talking Pictures channel, starring Edward Woodward, and am reminded of Daniel Craig in some way. I can’t put my finger on it. Woodward has a vague physical similarity to Craig and also some aspects about his manner that remind me of Craig. Again, I can’t pin it down to specifics.

I also saw some of the Callan series. I did not make any connection to Daniel Craig though, but enjoyed the performance of Edward Woodward.

I recommend the Callan film. It is available to watch on you tube.

I also noticed some similarities to Craig’s Bond in Woodward’s Callan. If they remade Callan I think Craig would be excellent in it.

I've never seen any Callan, but I do have a DVD of the Callan movie in my DVD collection (in the big pile of films that I still need to get around to watching). I've heard very good things about the series from fans of the spy genre so I definitely want to check it out. And Edward Woodward is always worth watching!
