Places Bond has never been to

A thread for what places you would like to see Bond go to on screen, that he has never been to before.

I'll start off with 2 I'd love to see:

1- Easter Island - A truly unique and memorable place. Would be great to see.
2- Ayer's Rock in Australia - Again, iconic and memorable.

    - The Arctic/Antartica/Spitzbergen
    - Costantine, Algeria
    - Sub-Saharan Africa, especially South Africa or Madagascar.
    - Lebanon

    I would like EON to take more chances when they chose locations and perhaps avoid Turkeu, Italy and the Alps for a while.

    When Carte Blanche by Jeffrey Deaver came out he had Bond in Cape Town for a substantial portion of the story, and reading the novel I found it quite bizarre that I was reading a Bond adventure where the scenes were taking place in locations that were in some cases within walking distance of where I live and work! Of course I don't perceive the place that I live as being exotic, or evocative of espionage capers in the way that a city like Berlin or even London is. I don't know if this has anything to do with why I rank Carte Blanche as my least favourite continuation novel.

    I see your point- I wouldn't find a Bond novel set in Ayrshire to be exotic or evocative. Or any novel, for that matter!
    (On the other hand I know Berlin well and it really is.)

    True. I don't see America as exotic. But I do like some of the locations they have tried like Key West. That was ok. Las Vegas not so much. I would like to see them try some more locations in North America to see what they can do. Perhaps a skiing scene or something in the mountains.

    Largely the reason why I don't find a need to rewatch For Your Eyes Only. I've had enough of Greece for a couple of lifetimes.

    Yes, a very large partion of Europe has been to Greece. The biggest mass tourism destinations like that may not be right for Bond nowadays. The south coast of Spain may be another example.

    Probably. But there are places and countries that has been visited so many times by people, movies and TV it's difficult to make it exciting. My sister visited New York this a cople of years ago. It was her first time in America, but she still felt the city was strangely known to her and unexcotix because she'sseen it so often on screen. Making places like that look new and interesting takes very good location scouting, imaginative writing and good cinematography.

    Australia is my number one choice since it has tons of great locations suitable for filming. Canada is another one since apart from standing in for Austria during the pre-credits of The Spy Who Love Me, it has never been used. Dubai is another place that I would not mind seeing. In the 2011 continuation novel Carte Blanche, Jeffery Deaver had Bond travel to Dubai and it got me thinking how it would look in a future film.

    Seoul. He's been to the DMZ, but it's not clear he was anywhere but on the northern side.

    Honolulu, Montreal, Cape Canaveral, Toledo.

    James Bond in Toledo. That's a title.

    I also think she had a boyfriend who was a drug addict who caused problems.
