Dubbing is interesting, because the method causes some cultural barriers. I imagine people in countries with a lot of dubbing barely know how famous actors sound like. Does the German "Clint Eastwood" sound like him?
There is also the matter of quotes, as mentioned above. My younger sister was at a language school in England. The English and Norwegian pupils had fun quoting Monthy Phyton, but the Italians had no idea what was going on even though they knew Monthy Phyton from home.

Just popped into my head before the rewatch, I remember reading somewhere that there’s a difference between UK and US cuts of DAD re the Bond/Jinx sex scene. It probably isn’t that much of a difference but might need a thread time check after that scene to make sure everyone’s synced correctly.
