Newman allows himself to channel Barry for a short while in the approach to Macau.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

It's barely subtext, but SF is a story of a mother with two sons- one turns against her, the other defends her. It's all there if you look for it.

    I agree

I thought that it was Bond and Alfred E. Neumann

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!

I like this entire casino scene, in all its phases.

Great casino set. Exterior is very well done as well (Bond in a canoe).

Not long enough or often enough, unfortunately.

    Great weird acting by Marlohe!
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.

Severine looks lovely. I also think it's well acted. Nervousness thinly weiled as arrognace.

Now that IS a Bond woman dress.

A bit reminiscent of Anya‘s dress in TSWLM

I seriously doubt people can identify the make of a gun under those clothes.

Where is this handsome man in a tuxedo? Can't spot him.

I love that gun. Favoured by Israeli hit squads. I’d recognise it’s profile anywhere.

Marlohe plays the damaged/wounded type of Bond girl perhaps more effectively than any other actress has... nervy, scared, messed up by her background and by the villain. She's so brittle, for that reason, that it dissipates the eroticism.

Very Fleming. Book Bond would take the time to get to know her, and help her. Film Bond doesn't have the time.

Yes and the creepier is that Bond sneaks into her cabin to ‚surprise her ‚ in the shower

At the inside of the thigh of a woman wearing a dress?

I Craig the first Bond to reference Disney? I think so. And he does it again in SPECTRE.

Now, the most expensive fight ever. The CGI to fix Craig's hands (paint over the gloves that he was wearing when the scene was shot) was very expensive.

I hear that a bit but is it actually true? Why would he be wearing gloves with a tux, indoors?
  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,861Chief of Staff
I thought the gloves bit was earlier, in the fight with Patrice

Was a controversial scene... Bond sneaks in on a woman's shower without her clear consent...

The red dress confused me when I‘ve seen the trailer.
Looked to me like Eve from CR
President of the 'Misty Eyes Club'.
