I wrote "saw FRWL", not "read FRWL" :v

Yes, but the film does spell Fleming's name correctly...

The Orient Express is among my top three Bond locations I'd like to visit. :007)

Coming up soon is a very quick scene that I'd like to anticipate- is Ian Fleming standing by the side of the track or not? Opinions vary. It's a bit away yet.

IMHO Connery is much more Fleming's Bond in this film than in DN. It being close to the novel does help, but his performance is much more assured.

Music- “Death of Kerim” (of course)

Bond very 'assertive' with Tania in the context of their mock newly-weds relationship... even before he eventually turns on her (after Kerim's death). Yet she adores him. Quite sinister, in a way. At best, hints of a potential sub/dom dynamic... At worst, hinting at a domestic abuse-inflected patriarchal structure... Bond never looked or felt more 'dangerous' than in this film.

I think the figure by the train is a sheep farmer and not Fleming.

Lots to think about in that.

Love Barry's cue for Grant stalking Bond... Grant in carriage; Bond on platform

Compare the outfit to what the man by the train is wearing

Barry's 'chugging train' music cues are a bit too mimetic though... almost Disneyesque..

I know of the photo, but his skin colour, body shape, shape of the crutch (and it looks like he has two crutches) and the fact that neither Fleming or the crew ever confirmed it ….

I‘ve seen the sheppard and imo he‘s too short and too skinny for Fleming

To me, the actor playing the real Captain Nash looks a bit like Fleming.

Too short, maybe, but he looks bulkier than Fleming if anything
