This is my favourite scene of Brosnan as Bond. He is the straight man acting as foil to the comic Kaufman. He allows Kaufman to steal the scene but is simmering with grief over Paris and seething with loathing.
The reversal of fortune between Bond and Grant over the attache case in FRWL is briefly and comically replayed here, for Kaufman's demise.
Implied dark bond between Stamper and Kaufman
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.
I never liked the remote driving in the parking house scene. A gadget that only cuts wires at that particular height?
And Brosnan look like a kid opening his Christmas gifts minutes after he found Paris dead ….

Music “Backseat Driver” My favourite cue from this film. Features Propellerhead Alex Gifford
To be honest, I find it a bit overwrought as a stand-alone track, in places, but I like how it harnesses the 'Surrender' themes and it works brilliantly in the context of the action.

It makes for a good action sequence but it has a plausibility of zero.

I’ve always really enjoyed the scene—a fun little sequence with a cool gadget

I'm glad you wrote that, I was scared of spelling it wrongly so I just said "Dr Kaufman"! )

It's a great inclusion on a driving compilation
Yes, great isn't it?
Brosnan's hair is too long to wear with a naval officer's cap.
