I love how Bernard Lee's portrait oversees this scene... as if he's looking over his compromised successor.
Bond's relationship with Judi Dench's M is relatively stable in this film; she trusts him enough to confide in him right away about her personal involvement.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

This why M works here, we get to see the woman behind the boss. Dame Judi grabs every bit she is given and is Marvelous with it.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?
Sophie Marceau gives the best acting performance of any 'Bond girl' in the entire series imho (even though, technically speaking, the 'Bond girl' role in this film properly belongs more to Denise Richards).

Hope that you tell us more about the Devil‘s interval. Sounds interesting
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
I think she's excellent here, too.
Wonderful to have back Michael Kitchen's Tanner.
M's speech closely tracks irl speeches made by heads of state after terrorist attacks.
Brosnan overdoes his line "Tanner!"

The interior sets aren’t bad too.
It’s also nice to see a few other double ops in the briefing scenes.
Machine that tootles... the incendiary pipes!

Well, I did have lessons when I was a boy- but that of course was before the guitar was invented.
Yes!

The amount of archive footage for this scene must have taken ages.

A very poignant exit.
(Sadder even than the execution of Elektra, later... especially with hindsight.)
Was never sure about this holograph of Reynard,
It has a Zombie like quality.

Best model that they‘ve done for decades and it‘s a very rare and expensive collector‘s piece now.
Aston Martin price territory!

Not as far as I know. No Nikki here!
Of all the allusions to Tracy's death in various films, this is the most downplayed/oblique.
