Well the day has arrived! After 19 months, and with the support and help of members of this forum, the new Brosnan-era ties are launched at Turnbull & Asser!
I get access to the new pieces featuring in the Turnbull & Asser James Bond Collection. I had a small part to play in bringing 3 new James Bond ties, all fan-favourites, to the collection. Jermyn Street Store Manager and Bond aficionado, James Cook, talks us through how it all came about. Classic Connery shirts have been made more screen-accurate, and the materials used for the Brosnan-era shirts have FINALLY been identified!
I hope that you all enjoy it, and approve of my homage to Skyfall and GoldenEye in the Pre-Titles Section!

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Excellent video, loved the intro and very well put together.
Thanks also for your work behind the scenes in making this happen.
Would really love to order a shirt or two and a tie or two now...
But haven’t worn a shirt and tie for a year or so now and would look out of place doing so where I live now.
Will watch the video with utmost attention. Great work, Blair!!

Are there still plans for a phase 2 with more ties?
The cuff on the Connery shirt is something I’ve been hassling them about for years.

Is the cuff on the left their new shirt, or is it one they made in bespoke for you? As far as I can tell from it laying flat, it looks just about perfect.
You should have read my blog!
But great work on James Cook to uncover the actual numbers of these!

That’s the new cuff, which is 100% the same as they made for me for my bespoke shirts. Which as far as I know is about as accurate as it’s possible for them to get. I can’t open it flat as a I bought it for a friend for Christmas.
Do you know if the collar with that shirt is a standard Number 3 or if it was raised up 1/8"? From what I can tell in the film, it looks like it's their slightly higher version. Most of Brosnan's collars are slightly raised versions of the standard collars. Though the TWINE collar is based on a design that was originally a higher two-button collar from someone who used to work in the New York store.
I'm glad they're embracing the Connery cuff now. For years they wouldn't even make it in bespoke for most people.

Thanks for the info, Blair!
Please can you let me know if these 3 new Bond ties are part of T&A permanent collection, or are the 3 ties limited editions?
Thanks for you help.
Love it!

My original Rubyeon DAD tie was safely couriered back to me today - delighted that it could play a small part in this story. T&A look to have recreated it perfectly.
I'm also confident these will fly off the shelves. -{

Matt, do you know why they wouldn't even do it bespoke back then? I thought that was the whole point!
