I would guess around forty dollars United States, typically larger vehicle sets from Playmobil are priced right around it. I recall paying around forty for the Ghostbusters II Ecto 1A in 2019.

I think the Playmobil DB5 and figures are cool, especially for a 40 something year old :-)
However, I am a little confused. Who is this model most specifically aimed at? Bond fans or children? Why not use the opportunity to produce the NTTD DB5 and have figures of Bond, Madeleine, Matera Henchman? To coincide with the film and make it more relevant to this century. Are children under the age of 12 more excited and in tune with the film Goldfinger than they are NTTD? (If so, that alone is not a good place for the franchise to necessarily be). Perhaps as Goldfinger is a PG rated film, children the age the toy is aimed at, can legitimately watch the film and re-enact the scenes, whereas, producing a toy aimed at under twelves related to a 12A classified film, may be inappropriate in some way? I'm probably overthinking it all, but it just makes me wonder.
I guess Playmobil having the licence to produce, are just going for the most classic of Bond moments with the DB5 and assume the adults will love it and buy it and the under 12's won't care too much about what 007 film it relates to or who the figures are they're playing with. James Bond v Baddies is enough. Probably the working ejector seat is one of key aspects too, which won't appear in NTTD. Therein, I suppose I've just answered my own question!😄)

To some extent I do think you are over thinking it. When I read the description of what the model can do, it speaks volumes as to why the the company has linked it to Goldfinger rather than NTTD. All the things that are described about the model can be immediately related to the movie Goldfinger, the bullet proof plate, the ejector seat, the revolving number plate, all things that you actually see in the movie and thus can replicate with the model. A parent could show their child the movie scenes that relate to the things on the model and I have no doubt the child would think it's cool to see what the car is doing in the movie and to do the same when they are playing with their toys, but I have no doubt that the car was really made for adult James Bond fans :)
Putting my pre-order in at Entertainment Earth in the near future. @Dodge101 : I agree, it does seem like like this was made to appeal to adult James Bond fans, although I would not be surprised if some fans with children let their kids play with it.

It's a pity that Playmobile couldn't have gone with some originality and gone with the lotus. It just feels that the go to for all these companys is the DB5

Maybe they still could produce the Lotus, now that would be amazing having both of them in Playmobile form, I remember having a Playmobile Space Toys when I was younger.
Got my pre-order in today at Entertainment Earth. This has to be one of the coolest toys that Playmobil has done since they started making toys based on movies and tv shows. Cannot wait to have this in my collection come next month.
I wonder how many will end up on auction sites for double or even triple the price as soon as it's released.
@Dodge101: Depends on how willing the scalpers are to spend money. Scalpers for those unfamiliar with term are people whom purchase toys/collectibles and then resell them for a higher price. I would think that since the price tag for the Aston Martin DB5 is already pretty high, they might be dissuaded.

Here's my review of the Playmobil DB5! A real slice of my childhood and my adult passion collide with this utterly wonderful Goldfinger Aston from the German toymaker, Playmobil. Just a joy for budding little Bonds and big kids, alike!

This is a pretty good looking toy. Kind of pricey, esp. since the Playmobil Back to the Future DeLorean can be had for around $40, and that's more tricked out, but I'm pleased with it.
Loved PlayMo's as a kid some odd 35+ yrs ago, still have few boxes of old ones in the loft, fond memories 🙂

Now I wish there were at least one companion car, either Tilly’s Mustang, GF’s Rolls or an Auric Enterprise Mercedes!
Got mine in hand and I am very pleased with it over all. I am glad that many of the gadgets on the car work and four figurines of characters from the movie included. Plus, the level of detail in the car overall is great for the scale its in.
