I wish I could watch it for the first time again.
I'm already sharing the pain of the comedown(!), and I won't get to see it for the first time until November! Following everyone on the forum and via their pages/channels has really helped pass the time through the lockdown. To paraphrase a beer ad, it sounds like it was worth the wait. Enjoy it guys.
Got to wait minimum two more weeks so will stick to this thread!
It's almost impossible to review this without spoilers btw, there are so many *wow* moments - so chapeau to anyone who manages. Perhaps the best thing to say is that from the trailers, tv spots etc...you really have not seen the heart of the film, you should not worry you've spoiled yourself if you've watched them all.
Good to hear @Royale-les-Eaux šļø
Ah that's great to hear, thank you.
Did you stay to the end of the credits?
Yes, that is great to hear. It was the opposite, at least for me, with Spectre, a movie I ended up not liking too much in the end. Two more days!

I did indeed...
I should say I don't think there are any location or outfit surprises...that is something the trailers and bts have well covered. But plot and heart...it's all to come.
As quantum is to casino no time is to all the Craig films

I'm on the bus home. Its 4am in the morning. This is real dedication to the cause.
No Time To Die is a James Bond film but I felt as if I was watching my cinematic hero have an out of body experience. I'm not entirely sure what to make of this bloodthirsty mini-epic where nobody pauses to explain anything to me [the audience] and looks exceptionally anxious doing it, as if they're in danger of those thousands of bullets.
Good production values, so-so acting, fun stuff in Cuba followed by a long drag to the denouement. Couldn't understand a single sentence Rami Malik said.
Did I enjoy it? Well, yes, it's a Bond film. Is it what I expected, probably. Is it what I wanted? No. Call me old fashioned, but having watched Craig's 5 film tenure on successive nights, I think I must have lost faith somewhere between 2006 and 2012 because whatever I thought James Bond was about [girls, gadgets, stunts, fights, a dash of humour] seems no longer to apply.
A worthy, neatly crossing the T's and dotting the I's, dispiriting climax to Daniel Craig's mythology of OO7.
When you say you couldn't understand Rami Malek, do you mean the content of what he said or the acoustics? I sincerely hope that it's not the latter. I've had this problem with Bane in Dark Knight Returns (another mask-wearer...) and basically all the main characters in Tenet... š

Could understand him perfectly in my screening
Well, the soundtrack itself is excruciatingly noisy and there's a tendency on Fukunaga's part to drown out dialogue with background noise - I hate this modern filmic tick of "authenticity" - also of including vital information at times of high peril - but for me, Malik is a whispery villain. His mouth barely opens. He doesn't enunciate properly. Maybe I was in a bad seat, but I was fairly central and expected to have a better understanding of a major character than I got from this. I was under whelmed by Safin.
Calvin Dyson expressed issues with hearing some of the dialogue in general at the premier but that venue is multi-purpose and not a cinema and has a reputation for not being the best place to see a film. He also expressed that the film would divide serious Bond fans so differences of opinions should not be surprising and it does appear that it will really be hard for folks to be able to clearly explain their opinions until spoilers are no longer an issue. Hopefully the sound will be good at my local IMAX.
No trouble with dialogue at BFI London IMAX.
i haven't seen it yet, i see if next week, im just praying the ending or movie in general doesn't get political, that would really sour things for me. I'd have a hard time getting past that.
It’s fabulous…not perfect…but it’s a hell of a way to bow out šø
I’m giving it 7/10. Some good parts, some bad. Definitely an improvement on Spectre but not in the same class as the magnificent Casino Royale. Really glad they waited to show it in the cinema where it belongs.
great to hear. Where would you rank it in the craig era? Ahead of Spectre and Quantum, behind Skyfall and Casino royal?
Yeah lets see some DC rankings!
Please put your rankings here- No Time To Die - Rankings — ajb007
Watching it on Monday. I really didn't get on with Spectre so if it's the exact opposite of that then I'll be happy
Too soon to say really. I’ll need to see it again. No doubt at all it’s superior to Spectre though.
It's a bold convoluted orgasm of a movie. Some great touches and references treated with skill (no sniffing Roasa Klebb's shoe)
Very long and occasionally felt like it. Packs several emotional punches. Too many 'shoot em up's for my taste and I would have prefered more fisticuffs/ physical stuff and less gunplay. Craig in fine fettle and the film avoids too many references to his age and decrepitude.
The Art direction and lighting is superb some truly stunning sets in the classic mold. I'm not rushing to judgement as I have only seen it in the last hour and this one will take a while to digest.
