Ian Fleming's guns?

Fleming was part of the British upper class and a former naval officer, so I find it likely he was a gun owner. Were officers still expected to buy their own sidearm back then? Guns are also an important part of his books. So do we know anything about Fleming as a (likely) gun owner?

He owned and carried one of these in his pocket during the war. .25 Browning
It stands to reason that he kept the pistol after the war, don't you think?
Did Fleming hunt? (Other than spear-fishing)
He probably did keep it.
Not sure if he hunted. I’m sure he went to small game drives though.
He had the Browning .25, issued to him during the War. He also had a Colt Official Police presented to him by General William Donovan “For Special Services” after he wrote an outline for the O.S.S. - later the C.I.A..
Fleming also owned a Ruger Target Pistol and was presented a short barrelled Python revolver by the Colt company. There were probably other firearms that were “family” guns. While not always a gun “expert” he was familiar with and liked firearms.
