In Germany, the DVD/Blu Ray will be out on 16th December.

I‘d like to organize a watchalong, is the DVD out in other countries at the same date?

Is NTTT a bondage classic I don't know or do you mean "No time to die"? 😁

Since the DVD isn't released until around the 20th and the time between Christmas Eve and new years eve is full of family activities I suggest a watchalong in early January. What do you think?

That’s not my fault. Call EON and tell them it doesn’t tally in with what you want. I’m sure they’ll release it a week earlier for you 🤣

    "Cancel Christmas!".

But I think we should do it in the first week of 2022.

Fine by me. I'll be buying a copy as soon as I can.

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

I think I'll get the DVD for Christmas, but if I don't I have to order it on the 25th. In that case I'll probably get it around new years. Even if I get it on Christmas eve I have so many social comitments it's likely I can't join a watchalong in December.

...the week in between Christmas and New Years...work will be incredibly dull in that week for me.

this is valid for me as well. In the past, the scheduling has meant the watchalongs are usually in the afternoon when I'm supposed to be working, that one week I could get away with it. But I cant guarantee I'll have the dvd by then.

Sadly there are certain social gatherings which are looking more difficult to do now, given a feared new turn for the worse in the pandemic, so personally I'd be ok with a date for a watchalong in between Christmas and the New Year, though most dates in early January would probably be ok for me as well.

Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 53 years.

I have a revised estimated delivery date from Amazon UK of the NTTD bluray - 29 December. (On top of Christmas, it looks like Amazon is going to be pretty busy anyway, having been asked to support the UK government in helping to deliver Lateral Flow Test kits with the sudden surge in demand.)

If the watchalong wishes to include members who use DVD and Blue Ray it looks like it has to happen very early next year.

    What's happening with this?

Everyone has realised it's rubbish and doesn't want to revisit it

    or

They're all hooked on your Shakespeare version in stead!

Ha! That's still a work in progress, and we're all having a good laugh writing it. More laughs than the film does, of course.

    needs more @Napoleon Plural content!

remember you said you wanted to CrowdFund a MAD magazine type parody of the new film? this is your big chance!

as to the thread topic I dont have the dvd yet

To be honest I don't recall that much of the movie, I mean I don't really care for Shakespeare that much and as for the film... I dunno, will have a look!

Are there any members who're likely to take part in the watchalong who haven't seen NTTD yet?

I can now say I'm almost certainly awailable for a watchalong on Friday.

  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,856Chief of Staff

Clearly we need more watchers. Shall we try plugging in other forums?

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

Let's contact the usual suspects first by PM. Of course if you can recruit someone from the outside that's fine, but I prefer people who is an AJB member.

  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,856Chief of Staff

Oh, I'm sorry to be unclear. I mean in the Film's forum, the NTTD forum, and so on.

  • Number24Number24 NorwayPosts: 22,331MI6 Agent

That's better. I've contacted a couple of frequent posters posters in past watchalongs. I suggest we continue sending PMs left, right and center. If you get a negative reaction to an invitation to a watchalong you're doing it wrong, so there's no risk to it. Let's ask even people who belive in the Code Name theory! 😂

  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,619MI6 Agent

Very good idea, let's plug the hell out of it, guys!

So ... this Friday, February 25th? At what time?

Watchalong on Friday sounds good to me. I think I should be able to join.

  • Dr_Madeleine_SwannDr_Madeleine_Swann Posts: 47MI6 Agent

    8.30pm?

    8.45pm?

(Only thinking about when I might be available, but no worries at all if that doesn't suit people. Just a suggestion..:) )

  • BarbelBarbel ScotlandPosts: 37,856Chief of Staff

We have to agree on a time before plugging it. I'm fairly easy going with a slight preference for 8pm.
