Given the fact that Tenet earned a whooping 25 million over two weekends in North America I think it's gonna be delayed longer than November.

I have a pair of non-Bond themed Ultraboosts. They are sooo comfortable.

No disrespect to anyone who likes these, I think these are so lame. This is the laziest attempt at cross-promotion I've seen from NTTD so far. Aside from the super bond freaks out there, who would buy these in sincerity?

I might buy them but only because I've been considering a pair of Ultraboosts independent of any 007 tie-in. I like to have fun with my running shoes as I wear them out after 1.5 months of running (I do a few hundred miles a month). So I don't mind the laziness cause they'll be short lived anyway. But you're right about the design - positively lazy.

What was the tie in with these shoes anyway? I seem to remember reading something in the old world, but can't remember what/why Adidas was involved?

Might try them for the gym when they come out. If I already had a pair of Ultraboost I would prob skip them, but I've thought about changing from Nike..

I was ready to grab myself a pair, as I'm a big sneakerhead/Bond fan. Although I'm not a huge fan that they'd chosen the Ultra Boost 20 to do the collaboration (should be the Ultra Boost 1.0 or DNA) I was ready to take the plunge because of the 007 connection. Now that they'd been delayed I think I might pass on these. Just don't like the UB20 model.

I would've like these sneakers if it wasn't for the obvious "007" on the heels. IMO that makes them just look like a cheap pair of children's dress up shoes. Would've preferred something a little more subtle.

Agree. I do like the trainers but I think they would have been better branding them by association along the lines of 'Commander'. 'James' 'NTTD' The 007 and application looks tacky IMO. A really cheap effort. An official sewn in patch or sewn in lettering in the tongue or somewhere would have been better and would give more of an exclusive special limited edition feel. I guess that would have been too much expense and effort to mass produce.

Forgive me if I've missed it but I'm assuming the gun portion isn't shown due to obvious connotations?

I think actually they might be more attractive to the non-Bond super freaks. The experts here know that it has nothing to do with the movie (at least as far as we know) and are questioning this (although still might get it for their collection of course), but the regular Adidas customer is probably a very casual Bond fan, sees a cool 007 logo and that's an extra incentive, perhaps like the 007 Fragrance.

DC himself usually wears cool Nike sneakers so that would have been more appropriate. If there turns out to be no connection with NTTD it's basically a 007 branded item, similar to the baseball caps, power banks, pens, travel mugs, backpacks etc on the 007 Store - pretty pointless, but hey, 007 logo is pretty cool :-)

it looks like there will be 3 models; white, black and grey. they are announced for 29th October for $200
have to admit that they look kind of cool, not a fan of 007 logos on the outside in generel but on a jogging shoe it doesn't bother me that much

5 models from the looks of it—all white (with a cool film titles insole); black/charcoal/a little red; grey/white; all black; and white/cream/grey (with a Spectre logo).

Wasn’t a fan of the black one we saw months ago but I actually don’t mind the others. How are the Ultra Boosts for running? I’ve always been an Asics guy.

I'm a fan of 007. I'm a fan of Adidas Ultra boost. I'm also a fan of triple black and cream colourways sneakers. So why am I so "M'EH" about this collaboration? I may try to cop the cream Ultra Boost DNA model, but the rest? Pass.

JTM the Ultra Boost started out back in 2016 as a performance running model. It offers exceptional cushioning and breathability The comfort of the Boost midsole is still amongst the very best there is out there. However in 2020 the original Ultra boost model (the cream one) has been rebranded the "Ultra Boost DNA", and offered as more of a liftstyle model. Whereas the other models in this collaborationsn(Ultra Boost 20 and Ultra Boost "SUMMER.RDY") are geared more towards performance, with a denser Boost midsole, tighter knit upper, and wider fore-foot.

For me Ultra boost is a fantastic option for lifestyle everyday use. I wear mine all day with no fatigue. However some people find the Boost midsole to be too soft for all day wear, and have complaints of sore arch or archilles as they feel it lacks the support they need. Runners also complained that the Ultra Boost are too heavy for serious running, and not suitable for gym workout as the midsole is not stable enough, and the primeknit upper does not contain the foot adequately on lateral movements. They are also not too wide-foot friendly.

So I guess it really depend on how much cushioning you need for your run, and how long you will run in your shoes. For a normal/ narrow footer like myself I find them to be supremely comfortable for daily wear, but for running and gym workout I want something lighter and more stable. Currently I run in Adidas Adizero Boston 9 and Nike Pegasus Turbo.

Can you run up a crane in them, though?

Nice they've introduced some different colourways. I can't justify £150 on a pair of trainers though.

hahaha I wouldn't run in those Jack Purcell OTR PERIOD. Those shoes have zero grip and next to no cushioning and support.
