Message back from Palladium. Not sure if that means the boots are not Palladium or that they are (as some have speculated) from an older season. What do the detectives think...?

I discounted as they don’t stock Palladium but Rivet & Hide where the jacket came from could have supplied the whole outfit.

C&J also have something that looks similar in their new range.

I guess they would have mentioned.

That seems like a pretty canned response, I'd probably read it as a "not ours" but it is so vague it hard to make a call on.

I've never had a pair of Palladium's but they certainly look like they would be good for winter wear although it seems that most are not water proof.

Just a heads up for anyone ordering the Finamore Connolly shirt. I purchased one last week from their sale archive and they are very slim fitting....so slim that mine is too small and needs to be returned. I am 15.5 neck and i should have easily gone to 16 neck. The chest is way too small - definitely size up if you workout and have a developed chest!!

Exactly, it could be read as “not ours” or “We don’t stock that model boot anymore”. Looking at the picture again they sure look like Palladium:

I sent them that brightened picture we had and asked about identifying the boot, my email to them is below. Did you message them too?

“I am trying to identify a particular boot that I think is a Palladium worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in this scene from the new film No Time To Die. Can you give me any assistance?”

Thank you! Yes but I haven't received any reply

and even if they do not know about it, it does not mean that they are not palladiums, I like to quote Member JTM here (from the Matera Socks Thread):
    JTM wrote:

You see it quite often—the companies are surprised when their pieces are ID’d in a film and they aren’t ready for the demand or it was a piece from a season or so ago that they had no intention of bringing back.

These are the PAMPA LEATHER ESS MAHOGANY 76887-257-M that you can also consider. Does anyone know if this is a Palladium signature shoe that will be restocked anyway?

Hi Noi, are you sure these are the same? Because the Mahogany as you wrote have the Number 76887-257-M.
Although they look pretty similar I must admit.
On the Avantisport page under Specificates it says Artikel nr: 76689-819. Why would they make this up? Could of course be that they just forgot to update.

its the same model but have different colour, Member 00 has pointed this out on page 231.
the pictures of the Avantisport shows the 76887-257 darker model but you are right about their descripton; it says 76689-819 (which are normally described with Pampa Leather Hi) , better ask them before you purchase, I think some shops didn't update their pictures or model-numbers because both models are described with "Mahagony"

    76887-257

if it is Palladium at all I assume its the Pampa Leather Hi 76689-819 in a lighter colour from their 2018-19 season (very hard to find now, unfortunately a result of the delays :S), the Leather Ess is from a more later season, probably around 2019-20. I can only speak for myself and I'm 80% convinced that these are Palladiums, its hard to say if they will do a re-release of the sa model if they get confirmed so the darker model seems to be a close alternative but again thats more or less speculation, but apart from NTTD they work as a good alternative for the CS Converse boots

I just received the boots from Avantisport. Noi was indeed right: these are the Mahogany version, they just used the old number.
Still thinking about keeping them as the Mahogany version is probably soon sold out, too, and it may be the closest colour wise that's available.
I find that they do not match the RGT jacket too well, hm.
Size wise I would say they run rather small at least compared to C&J etc.
I would say Nike Air Max 90 or Converse comes close size wise.

And another thing: If I let the trousers ride up like in the still where you can see the loops at the back of the boots, I get the impression that the loops are lower on James Bond, so the Leather ESS or High Top may not be the correct model. But it is hard to tell, and maybe they're not even Palladiums.

Were the jeans with the RGT jacket dark wash denim? I know way far back in this thread a member had reached out to Rag and Bone and mentioned that they did supply some jeans to production?

I just received mine from Fat Buddha. They are great fun. I took their last size 9UK/43 Euro. I usually take an 8.5 in the C&J Moltons, Islays. and Church Rider III's, a 9.5 US in the J Crew Kentons. The Palladiums are slightly on the roomy side, but I love them. They do remind me of the CR Jack Purcells. In fact they look like the product of a wild weekend in Vegas between the Purcells and my Hunter Chelsea wellies!

Just ordered the last medium Max2 belt on Mr Porter, they wasn’t on there the other day so sold out quick.

Anyone received Standard Joe sunglasses from Chakshu yet? I preordered in December and their website still says Expected August 20!

I preordered the Standard Joes from them too and havent received mine yet so I contacted Chakshu last week ans asked if they have any information, this was their response:

"Yes, we have heard from them! The Barton Perreira Sales Director informed us that the sunglasses left from the US to Italy last Friday. They will need to go through customs, which can take a week or so. Once they have them in the warehouse in Italy, we generally will receive them within a week. We are very hopeful that we will have them soon.

We are so sorry you have been waiting for so long! Due to Covid-19 the factories in Japan were working at a reduced capacity, so there was a delay in Barton Perreira receiving them."

Fingers crossed for shipping before Christmas
  • For the record, the Palladiums have not been confirmed, in case anyone is wondering.
Personally, I don't think what we see in the garage still is a pull loop but rather a seam
or some part of the cuff of the jeans.

I agree as well, either the loop is very low on the back of the boot or it is not a loop at all, his jeans wouldn't drape like that if they were hooked on a loop near the top of the boot, at least that is what it seems to me.

Always liked this one but all the loop talk made me think it couldn’t be it. Sold out so could be from a previous season.

Thanks for the sizing info and pic Blair. (We have the same size feet ;)

The more I study the lock-up picture the more I feel the boots are Pampa Cuff WP Lux as I think the lower positioned loop allows the jean to ride down slightly. The higher loop on the Pampa Hi would force the jeans to fall more awkwardly. From the pic, we can see that they slot between the rear of the boot and the loop quite nicely. Colour is still very difficult to tell, but I'm as certain as I can be it's the Pampa Cuff WP Lux model.

I actually prefer the Pampa Hi though so will probably go for a pair of these. 'Inspired By' is enough for me on this occasion rather than SA.

I also agree with previous thoughts that as the distressed grey t-shirt in Jamaica is supposed to be or at least be a connection to the CR t-shirt, these boots are probably supposed to be Jack Purcell's or create that link.

As cool as that would be for us Bond clothing nuts, I really don’t think that’s the case. A grey t-shirt and a pair of brown casual shoes/boots—they’re not exactly uncommon wardrobe pieces.

The grey t-shirt is the Sunspel Rivera melange. It's 1000% visual through-narrative for the Craig arc, that doesn't happen by accident and is someone (who is good at it)'s, job.

I think you've got the correct boot identified. I'm not convinced it's the mahogany colour that others think it might be.

I may be crazy (my wife would attest to that), but I think the boots are possibly taupe.

Royale - I agree with you. There are some interesting continuity things have been misses along the way, like the sweeping man in QoS, dimples in ties changing from moment to moment in scenes that as a viewer we are supposed to believe is one continual shot, etc. If the continuation of the shirt being a visual through narrative happens to be real then that would be one of the coolest things in the entire series, to me. Whether or not it is confirmed to be true, I will follow that logic and believe it is real.

It would make sense if it was because that colour goes better with the jacket than the mahogany.

The Palladium pampa cuff WP Lux seems more like a softer suede material designed as a water repellant surface the boots in the image especially the lighter version looks more like a smooth
leather. The WP Lux chocolate is still a strong contender!

I thought the russet color could have been it, but in Pinterest images and other images the color
looks to intense and not natural.

Even with so little information what will inevitably happen is that, once the boots are identified, it will turn out they came from a previous season — or something — and are widely unavailable and yet someone here will have gotten his hands on them because he bought 5 different possibilities via eBay, Aliexpress, and Grailed to keep from missing out. (Of course now he's stuck with 4 of the wrong boots but no matter.) :))

Or the only pair available for the correct boot was three sizes too large so he engaged a cobbler to custom adjust his enormous pair to fit his feet. :)) :))

    This is such a crazy hobby. But I have to toast the detectives and the obsessives. You make this fun. -{
