Curious, as a yank, I have always pronounced it o may ga, and most I know had as well.
After CR 06 Craig said o mee ga, than a lot of people especially bond fans started to use that pronunciation.

Is one or the other “correct,” or is it just a preference or how Craig or Europeans pronounce?

Like tomato in US and toe ma toe in the UK?

I’m curious, how do you pronounce Palladium? Or do you spell aluminium differently?

I read somewhere that there isn't a right or wrong pronunciation of Omega. Either is correct. But pre Bond's association with the brand I always used to pronounce it O-megga. Anyone else?

In greek, it‘s more or less one flow with a slight emphasis on the O.
But no Ohh, , just an O

Nice. I can't identify the nato from my local (Australian) Omega Website. Looks cool though.

I‘ve seen those things from Rolex in the past.

20 brand new Rolex Datejust right from HQ with incorrect numerals on the dial.
    All the same mistake

    The Watchfinder one is interesting.

So, someone buys an Air King and walks out of the store without noticing it’s got the wrong numerals. They then carry on not noticing it and sell it on to a world renowned watch dealer who buys it in failing to notice it has the wrong numerals. So that’s a Rolex, the AD head office, the AD store and the AD sales assistant not noticing it, and then it gets better as the buyer doesn’t notice and sells it to a dealer who also doesn’t notice either. Am I the only one that doesn’t see something slightly iffy with this scenario.

When I‘ve seen the WF video for the first time, it took me very long until I‘ve noticed.

I was watching a review video of a new GMT and the chapter ring wasn’t aligned on it. Those errors seem a lot bigger but who knows.

If you mean the rehaut, this can‘t be aligned.
It‘s either wrongly laser- engraved (unlikely) or the dial is not properly adjusted - often after the watch has left the factory and unqualified watchmakers don‘t know.

How do you mean it can't be aligned? The Rolex logo doesn't sit centrally over the 12- I think it looks pretty slapdash.
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,618MI6 Agent
I mean it exactly as I wrote.

If it's impossible to align it it seems weird that they manage to do it on many you see in photographs. I would find it strange that they would design something they have no control over.
  • HigginsHiggins GermanyPosts: 16,618MI6 Agent
I haven’t said that alignment is impossible, read my post again.
The dial/movement needs to be adjusted against the case...

You obviously didn't mean what you wrote then.

Although I obviously don't know the history of it I don't see why there would be any reason for it to have been dismantled since purchase.

the rehaut can‘t be aligned - I wrote it and mean it

You can only align the dial/movement against the case

Unnecessary pedantry. You understand what the issue is: when I align items I align them to each other- I do not say one cannot be aligned because that's incorrect and misleading.
I think I'll ignore your comments on this now as you're clearly just trying to be pointlessly argumentative.
