Hi gents,
I am looking into getting a pair of C&J Molton but i have never purchased from C&J before so i don't know how their sizes are compared to other brands.
Can anyone compare them to sizes from Sanders, Herring Shoes or Velasca?
If this is useful at all - On the US brannock scale, I'm a narrow size 12US. In C&J I wear 9.5-10UK when I tried on the Moltons. My Islay are 9.5. In the Church's Ryder III my best fit is 11UK, and in Sanders Playboy I wear 11UK.
If at all possible, definitely try them on.
Unfortunately I don't have regular feet so not the best to give advice. I suffer from high instep.
Herring Gosforths size UK7.5 are comfortable on the lace area, a bit too roomy on the toe area. My C&J Islay size UK 7 are very comfortable in the toe area, but the lace area is choking in the lower lace area. I hope I explain myself. But the sizing seems to be consistent with the Herrings. Unfortunately I am providing data or experience on two different types of boots. You could do research on the last fitting information in C&J site and in styleforum.

Unfortunately the C&J site is broken at the moment and they don't have information on that particular 336 last that they used for the Molton. (But they list 335 and 337)

From my understanding the Molton last is a brand new one. They are very helpful if you call one of the shops or email them.
336 is not a brand new last. It's at least 10 years old but has only been used for the Moltons which DC has been wearing for a while. I remember reading about it on the C&J website but can't find that info now.
I'm a 7.5UK in most brands, C&J, church, RMW etc. I own a Chiltern in 7.5UK and have tried on numerous C&Js and always found this size works best. But recently I tried a pair of green Chilterns and Moltons and I think I can get away with a 7. So either my feet have shrunk or current C&J shoes wear a bit bigger than they used to.

Launched in April 1999, the 336 last is a well-balanced main collection last, with standard ‘E’ fitting measurements and good tread width. The blunt square toe will result in the wearer’s toes sitting relatively close to the front of the shoe, but the shape gives a commanding look and feel working well with hearty Derby shoes and boots with storm welts.
So either my feet have shrunk or current C&J shoes wear a bit bigger than they used to.
What i have understood from the other comments is that C&J shoes are comparatively roomier than other brands.
I am sure your feet haven't shrunk! 
If anything, feet get slightly bigger with age!
