So I can't afford the real levis menlo so I'm thinking about going with an alternative. Do any of you own a wested enjoying death jacket? Is it worth the price for the custom one? Do you like it? Can you post pics? Thanks!

For a custom do I get pre-destressed lamb skin? Also gussets?
I have one in distressed lamb and I love it, it is not as dark as the Menlo but it certainly has the same feel and it is very soft and comfortable.

Really soft and comfortable, the arms could be a touch narrower but overall it fits really nice, I had them add a button on the cuff that is purely cosmetic, I wear it a lot.
I ended up getting two of these as I happened to see a shrunken lamb on eBay for a very cheap price (the seller didn't know it was a Skyfall jacket and I expect would have gone for more if labelled as such); to be honest I prefer the shrunken lamb of the two: the distressing looks a bit too fake and shiny for my taste.
I have a real Menlo too and the Wested shrunken actually gets more wear!
How long did it take you to get this once ordered?

I recently ordered perhaps a slightly more upmarket jacket from one of Wested’s rivals (and I can’t deny the leather is superior), and although COVID very much got in the way, it took 10 months!!
You can get better jackets, but you can also get much much worse, and considering they do bespoke I would say they’re brilliant value.
One thing to remember with the Menlo though is that it’s a motorcycle jacket and that means the sleeves are long (they’ll come down near your knuckles when your hands are down). Some people don’t like that, and you can probably specify a different sleeve length if you don’t. Personally I think it’s part of the look, but up to you of course.

Ah okay, well of the two I’d say the shrunken lamb is probably the thinner and it’s quite nicely lightweight. I think I’ve worn that on warmer days and not sweated to bits. No, it’s not a dead ringer for the Levi’s one, but I like the look of the leather and the distressed one looks a bit plasticky to my eye. I can take a photo if you’d like.
Oh and if you are ordering it I’d also specify to get inside pockets! The ones on the outside are really only hand warmers and not good for putting anything in.
I honestly don't recall but it wasn't long, perhaps 10-14 days.

Thank you. I’d love to see a photo if you have the time. It can get upwards of 110 Fahrenheit, sometimes more, here in the summer. It is usually no lower than the mid 50’s in the winter, but it can certainly dip lower at times.

Thank you. I’d love to see a photo if you have the time. It can get upwards of 110 Fahrenheit, sometimes more, here in the summer. It is usually no lower than the mid 50’s in the winter, but it can certainly dip lower at times.
Sorry for the delay, here are some shots of both plus some closeups so hopefully you can get a bit of an impression of the leathers but I'm not sure they quite do them justice. The shrunken lamb has a nicer grain and texture I think, although I guess you'd say the drape on it is almost a bit papery, but it is very lightweight. It's quite a chocolatey brown, rather than the deeper brown of something like an Indy jacket. The distressed lamb is very smooth and almost a bit plasticky, and veers slightly towards the orangey! It's a lot lighter than it looks too.
Bear in mind I did buy the shrunken lamb from eBay rather than direct, so I think it's shrunken lamb but I guess I don't know for sure!
