I’m a long time lurker and haven’t posted until now, but I thought it was about time I said hello. I love the (mostly) friendly atmosphere of this place and it’s what keeps me visiting.
I’m a huge fan of the series, especially both the Connery and Craig eras. The sartorial side of things particularly interests me and I have unbridled admiration for the sleuths on this forum who seem to be able to track down items from the smallest of clues. This, and the interest I’ve started to develop in watches over the years certainly makes for an expensive hobby.
I can’t wait to watch NTTD - it looks to me like it’ll be worth the delay - but the main thing for me is that everyone is able to stay safe so that they can enjoy it when it finally gets released.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you all a bit better.
This is officially my two thousandth post, and I don't want to waste it on anything On Topic.
I joined ajb007 fourteen(!!!) years ago, in the runup to the Craig reboot. I was rereading the Fleming source material for the first time since my early teens and getting so hyped, yet had nobody in real life to talk about this stuff properly with. This forum looked to be a good literate gang of Bondgeeks who really knew their stuff, and with little of the interpersonal nonsense that derailed other types of forums I'd been active in in the past.
My first post no longer exists (presumably in some prototype of this thread that got deleted?) but I remember my very first line was "Pardon me, do you have a match?", which seemed the appropriate way to establish my creds.
The name was chosen because all the good directly related Bondnames were already taken, so I figured Fleming's other famous character would further demonstrate my respect for the literary roots.
...and I'm still here all these years later, because you fellow obsessives keep recommending great spy books, spy films, spyTV and other related pop culture for further investigation.
We may not have a Bond25 to watch this year, but because I have you as influences in my life, I've spent much of the last eight months watching the Saint, Cathy Gale-era Avengers, Harry Palmer and Matt Helm, and I'd never have got into any of that good stuff without you!
Back to being a bit more active here once more, very sad to see TP had left these hallowed halls of Bondom, but pleased Canoe2 has found his way back. Looking forward to joining the chats and catching up with what's been going on.

Yes, 2020 has not been a great year for me (nor for very many other people I imagine). Hopefully I'll be able to post a bit more going forward though.
Greetings from Belgium.
I'm new on this forum but have been following you for a while and finally took the plunge and decided to join the community.
Have a great day!

Welcome, Dolly to AJB!
I am a longtime defender of TMWTGG here and would enjoy to further discuss the movie with you.
Infact, I‘ve just made 2 truly groundbreaking discoveries myself:

Dropping in via hang glider, its been two years since I was last here I think. I like the new look to the site.
Nice to see you dipping your toes back in AJB waters 🍸
Cheers Sir Miles, I originally joined back in 2003 when I was at University, the site has changed a lot over the years.🍻
