First off, I changed the title of the thread and added a spoiler warning--if anyone should gripe about learning of important plot details after clicking this topic, that's their tough luck!

Ben, thanks for the link to the remixed song. It does indeed sound better--less fast and jangly, which were the two elements I liked least about the first version. I still wish Connell had a smoother voice--like, say, Eddie Vedder--but it's agreeable nonetheless.

Surely the omission of the title track is an error? A Bond soundtrack without the title song is an insane concept!

I agree, Cornell's "You Know My Name" could not possibly be omitted from the soundtrack. Great to know they will be using that powerful line from the end of the novel.

Does anyone know when this soundtrack will be released? I remember picking up "Die Another Day" before the film was released. And there is only one month left until the release of "Casino Royale." I am very excited to hear what David Arnold conjured up for this film that we all (or should I say most) have been anticipating!

Edit: I just did some browsing of MI6 and discovered it is set for a November 14th release for the U.S., November 13th for the U.K.

Me, either. I thought it was my browser (Firefox), but I ended up giving in and using, bleah, Explorer. Nothing plays -- it doesn't seem to want to connect.

Fourth, one of the titles gives away a major plot point.

isnt that what I said about the third point, giving away the ending?
