Craft Bond from each of the actors.

I just came up with a thought: if you could take one thing from each of the Bonds and put it together to make a Bond, what would you take? The requirement here is you have to take ONE THING from each of them. I make this requirement because, quite frankly, I think all of the actors have been great and there's something that each of them contributes in great detail.

I'll do this in chronological order:

Connery- The sexual presence. Speaking very much as a heterosexual male, I will say that he definitely outclasses the others in this regard. All of the Bonds have done a good job here, but Connery's really the one I see as the most possible case in which a woman would just want to take him home and ride him all night. This is the sense I've gotten from a number of female friends of mine who have watched the films, although they have also had lots of similiar things to say about Craig along these lines since CR came out.

Lazenby- The physicality. By far the best fighter of all of them, and in this regard, he gives his portrayal a nice Flemingesque element, seeing that the Literary 007 was a boxer in youth.

Moore- The demeanor. I think this is probably the one thing about the Literary 007 that Moore really nailed, perhaps better than anyone. As ruthless and choleric as the Literary 007 can be, he is still a gentleman.

Dalton- The looks. There are tons of things about Dalton's performance that I love, which I've stated on many occasions. If I could take one thing from him, though, it would definitely be the appearance. He's, IMO, about as close to the appearance of the literary 007 as they will ever come. Give him a scar on the right cheek and a tighter crop up top, and he's there.

Brosnan- The professionalism. Bond is a professional, and Brosnan, IMO, did the best job of conveying this aspect of his character. He does his job, and he does it in a professional and determined manner.

Craig- The humanity. Craig has done by far the best job of conveying the humanity of the Literary 007 of any actor, IMO. He's a human who bleeds, falls for women (and has to put up defense mechanisms to avoid doing so, like "keeping it simple" with married women), who loses his cool, who screws up sometimes (and attones for it), etc..

A hell of a topic... and a hard one as well.

I agree with you both in Moore and Dalton: Moore has that sort of presence in the M scenes which i like

Dalton isn't a male model, he isn't gorgeous or perfect, but he seriously appear like Bond.

I think it is more physical Craig than Lazemby, but Craig is just too pumped up...

i have to think the rest of it, but i'm sure of something: i will not include Brosnan's Belly in DAD... or Craig's Ocean scene in CR

    Take
    1) Young Connery's Looks
    2) Daniel Craig's Build
    3) Young Roger Moore's Style
    4) Timothy Dalton's uh, um, hair?
    5) George Lazenby's fighting skills (without the sped up camera shots though) Craig fights well too.
    6) Pierce Brosnans assuredness.

...keep the gadgetry at a minimum and you'd have yourself a pretty good Bond.

Who shoots a hand gun the best...Connery does that low hip gunfighter thing, I think Moore uses his oppisite hand to hold his shooting wrist. Will you allow me to use Bruce Willis's patented hand gun turned on its side shooting techinque?

All that would make a good Bond IMHO.
