James Bond 007 to Drive New Audi TT?

Very doubtful- I'd imagine the Ford deal has another film to run, so I'd imagine he'll be in a Jag or Range Rover or somesuch.

Although I'd quite like to see him in an Audi; but not the TT. Something like an RS4 would be much better- faster, more understated but quite stylish, and much more of a man's car.

Emtiem, are you forgetting the new Audi R8? If Bond drives an Audi, it'll either be that or the S8.

    Range Rover? Land Rover?

    Bond in a 4x4?
4x4s are destroying the plane and are seriosuly uncool now.. apparently. just ask Jeremy Clarkson who removed all 4x4s off the Cool Wall on Top Gear

i think the Bond Aston Martin link will still be previlent in the next bond film. with a return of the DB5 and either the DBS or some other Aston thing of beauty.

I like the Audi's but I do think its a backwards step from the Aston Martin DBS

I think Clarkson would be the first to say that anything he deems to be cool is probably quite the opposite! :) I don't think there's any huge reason he couldn't drive a 4x4.

DB5 possibly; with the sale of Aston I doubt we'll see any new ones.

The R8 is a bit silly, isn't it? I wouldn't want to be seen in it- Bond doesn't usually do midengined supercars. And the S8.... nah; not as cool as the RS4.

Or of course, there's always the brand spanking new S5... but to be honest it looks a bit soft to me.

Maybe the new Jag XKR will get an outing ....

    That was a joke!

It wouldn't be his main car. It would be like the new mondeo in CR. The new TT is actually quite nice. It would be ok as a secondary car for bond but not the primary car.

Well obviously you have differing tastes, as I love the R8, and I think the RS4 looks like every others sedan out there. Nothing exclusive about it at all.

Have you seen one on the road, though? It has real presence. The R8 obviously does, but you'd look really silly in it.

According to this story at MI6, you may be right about the Jag. This is a sweet looking car!

As much as I love Top Gear, Clarkson almost always factors in a lot of bias. Any car that isnt British seems to be on his hit list.

Really? The last few cars he's spent his own money on have been a Ferrari, Mercedes, Volvo, Ford GT and Lamborghini. Not much evidence of xenophobia there.

Hmm.. no, not really. Don't forget that about the best 4x4 you can get is a Range Rover; doesn't make much sense to remove them if he only loves British cars.

He removed them as a joke!
  • SolarisSolaris Blackpool, UKPosts: 308MI6 Agent
I probably didn't make myself clear enough in my last post. I know that the 4x4s were removed as a Joke and that Clarkson is biased towards certain cars. I myself have nothing against 4x4s. I don't think they're the right cars for bond however.

If we are not going to have an Aston, which would be a shame, It is most likely going to be a Jag, simply beacuse Ford own Jaguar.

Am I happy about that? I don't know. I've never really liked Jaguars. Not that I wouldn't be happy if If one appeared on my Drive way. I just don't really like them as much as Astons, Astons are the elite, whilst Jaguars are driven by Opticians or People who own a Warehouse full of carpets or something.

No offence meant to any Opticians out there. or Jaguar drivers. or people who own Warehouses full of carpets.
