Question about fanfic (interested reader)

Hi! I'm curious to read some of the fanfic posted on this site, but I don't know where to start. I'd like to try one of the collaborative novels, but a work by a single author will also do.
I was wondering if someone could recommend the best fanfic novel on the site to start with, obviously based on their opinion and bearing in mind that my favourite filmic Bond is Dalton (and the Connery of FRWL) and my favourite books are Moonraker, FRWL and CR.
I'm also interested in good prose (obviously).
So, without false modesty, which of the novels do you think comes closest to that paradigm?

'Death is in the Cards' is a nice piece of work by Dortmunder. It is very short, but it is a nice piece of prose, and the gambling setting is remiscient of CR.

Also, 'The Great Chrysanthemum' by Jason Disley is a very good fan fiction. It also includes the character of Modesty Blaise in a very interesting crossover with Bond.

'Smokeheart' by Lazenby880 is a very nice down to earth spy tale.

You can't really go wrong with any of the fan fics on this site!! :007)
