"I'm afraid you lose the hole and the match."

Does anyone know what brand/model hat Connery wore during his golf match during Goldfinger? I would love to hit the links this summer with Connery style!

    Me too! I have been looking for one of those. I believe that, like the sweater, it was of Slazenger manufacture. Let's help each other out, and, if that's Goldfinger's ball, then I'm Arnold Palmer!

    Yeh, its Slazenger.

    I remember in the UK in 1995 - around the time of the Goldenye publicity blitz - Slazenger produced replicas in a classic range they had.

    Don't know if they still do them, though.

    Yes and I know it is not a great picture but here you can see the Slazenger Golf hat with a slazenger v-neck pullover...the golf hat looks pretty good in my opinion save the ribbon band (which needs to be replaced by a more accurate one)...also pictured is Goldfinger's putter and Goldfinger's rust colored Brooks Brothers Golf cap circa 1960's....

    I saw these advertised in a feature in one of the men's magazines (GQ?) a few years back... was it as long ago as 1995? Life moves fast...

    Is the Slazenger hat a kind of perforated mesh material? Love the Brooks Brothers cap - do you happen to know if the original was Brooks Brothers too?

    Yes, the original was BB as denoted in an old auction....and yes, the Slazenger golf hat is a mesh/straw like material...closely woven....I will take better pics of both this weekend...-{

    I remember there's a nice description in the book about Goldfinger's top-to-toe golfing attire, something along the lines of Bond imagining that GF had asked his tailor to "dress me for Golf, like they do in Scotland."
