NP, two comments:
One, what do you mean by Brosnan and Moore being cut from the same cloth? Are you referring to them both being regarded as conventionally hansome? Because I don't think they look all that alike. ) (Brosnan reminds me more of Dalton.)
Two, please don't tell me that you feel ashamed or embarassed about preferring the Brosnan films and Brosnan to CR and CR? They might have had flaws (which btw IMO humour was not among them), but IMO GE and TWINE were both terrific Bond films. I also consider those two films to both be superior to CR, and I consider Brosnan to have been a much better Bond than Craig, and I say that unashamedly.
Well, I meant that physically Moore was far more different to Connery and Lazenby. He had a different shaped face and bearing and so on, not the dark short back and sides type. Is there a word which refers to the shape of a bloke's face? You can group Moore, Dalton, Brosnan in one group (sort of long-faced or horse faced ) and Connery, Lazenby and Craig in the other group, sort of round-faced. There must be a better way of expressing this!
Except Craig is still very different to the previous actors in his physique and bearing and colouring.
No, I don't feel ashamed about the Brosnan thing whatever that means... just felt his films weren't up to scratch, bar TWINE, which doesn't look as colourful as it should. DAD obv awful, so many Brosnan fans were hoping for a movie that would tick all the boxes. TND and DAD didn't, a strike rate of 50 per cent aint' that great (and I was never mad about GE, it has lots of plot holes like CR imo)
Actually, reading the CR quotes on the mi6 website reminds me why I didn't like CR! All the humorous comments have that bumptious, assertive, put you in your place tone, be it M to Bond, Vesper to Bond, Bond to Vesper and so on... it's all a bit brittle and uncharming for me...

I really enjoyed the dialogue, for the most part. IMO, it was smartly-written and went a long way toward advancing both character and plot...exactly what good dialogue ought to do.
I do miss a line from the script, which didn't make it into the film we all saw: In Venice, just before the gunfight begins between Bond and the goons holding Vesper, Bond says:
"Hello, dear. Who are your friends?"

You know, when I first heard about Craig as Bond I was less than enthused that he was chosen. I really had no plans at all to see the movie but I got bored one night, decided what the heck, and was completely won over by his performance. He makes a wonderful Bond and is also quite good in Layer Cake.
Thank you for the welcome! And not to be in bad form talking about another movie, but Layer Cake has become one of my favorite all time movies. It also gave me a lot of respect for Craig seeing how much he busted his can to look the way he did in Casino Royale. That guy is committed. What more can you ask for in your Bond?
