  An update regarding Adam Kirley. He has been nominated in the "Best Work With A Vehicle" category. He is quoted in an interview with Last Broadcast: "To get the Guinness World Record, and then to be nominated for the World Stunt Awards too...we're going to LA in May, representing the UK!"

  Great news. These guys deserve all the acclaim they get. It still amazes me that there isn't an Academy Award for stuntwork. Best of luck to Ben Cooke in May.

  They wouldnt even get an academy because its not an American film.

  
  That doesnt prevent it for being nominated. As long as its something like the film opens in LA with so many screens. Hellen Mirren got best actress for the Queen and there was nothing American about that movie at all.

  spidermanweb, do you have any reason to be here other than to wind people up? While I don't think your truculent, ignorant, pigheaded opinions are worth the time of day, here's a solid, documented, certified, official fact that I hope will shut you up: Both Roberto Benigni (Life Is Beautiful) and Sophia Loren (Three Women) WON Academy Awards for non-American films in which they didn't even speak English. And those are just two examples.

  I loved Life is Beautiful! My parents thought it was boring, but I thought it a masterpiece. Despite them not speaking English, and even with subtitles rolling. I began to ignore them and became able to understand what they were saying without reading them.
  
  It's truly a beautiful movie and I was so sad (SPOILER) when the father was shot in the prison camp.

  It's a terrific film. Alot of people in my local Jewish community thought that it trivialised The Holocaust. I disagree with this, however, as a few years ago, whilst rewatching it at Uni, alot of the (non-Jewish) students who watched it with me, talked about how powerful it was and how the humour provided a fearsome conrtrast with the horror.

  Congratulations to the CR stunt team for a smashing bit of work! ;% The 'Madagascar' chase bit was superb...and the rolling of the Aston is a highlight of the series, as far as I'm concerned...*

  CR has won two awards: Best high work and best stunt coordination and/or 2nd unit direction.
