Michael Douglas for a bond villain?

Hi guys,
Having enjoyed ITV's current Michael Douglas collection, Falling Down, Wall Street, Basic Instinct, Traffic. My mind started to Picture him in the role opposite DC and i personally think he could be quite good, although i am a fan of the current trend of going for lesser known actors, i think MD could do a good job. what do you think?

He's a fine actor, and could probably play a meglomaniac very well. And he's a criminal in real life. I consider it a crime he got his claws into Catherine Zeta-Jones... :v

Great line. Michael Douglas would be a fine Bond villain. Gordon Gecko with guns. Auric Goldfinger wasn't that much different than the corporate raiders of the 80's. I wonder if Goldfinger Enterprises would qualify for Federal bailout money if it existed today.....
