    No he wasnt Sean Connery was but Brosnan is arguably the second best and was 100000% better than Spaniel Craig imo!

    I take it you didn't like that film. :v :)) I liked it, although I much preferred the stage musical, but as for Brosnan, while he wasn't amazing, I didn't think he was so bad. ;%

    I guess that's why I used the ;% smiley. I don't know, maybe I have a higher tolerance for films of this nature than other people, but I liked Brosnan. Yes, he wasn't particularly good, but to say he humiliated himself is a bit of an exaggeration. That said, while I much prefer the stage musical (which I'll be seeing for a third time next year :D), my mother loves the film, and she's not a big fan of Brosnan's performance. :)) Anyway, as I said, films of this nature don't offend me, and I don't think that Brosnan's performance was so terrible that it will ruin his other work, much of which is fantastic.

    Firstly - welcome aboard. -{

    Secondly - It's Brosnan who is too old, not the topic of the thread. :#

    Thirdly - Brosnan looked a complete prick in spandex and cannot return to Bond because he is imprinted on many Bond fans' minds by the monstrocity that was Mamma Mia...

    Brosnan is a fine actor and a so-so singer. He was better in "The Tailor of Panama" than in "Mamma Mia", but even that film wasn't a disaster (I actually enjoyed it). His portrayal of Bond in his four 007 films was fine, albeit hampered by mediocre plots. On the other hand, he would have to train hard in order to play Bond in the style of film that is being written for Daniel Craig. I think he could pull it off, and thus Bond Fan-007, your signature is justifiable. However, I think Daniel Craig is doing a fine job, and needs no replacement. Casino Royale was magnificent. QOS was fine. I look forward to seeing Craig in Bond 23 and hopefully many more. :)

    Good thing I never saw Mama Mia then. Maybe he could return as Stuart Dunmeyer?

    He had a nice run, but I'm sorry to say Brosnan was one of my least favorite Bonds.

    So I do not agree with your signature.

    Sorry... :#

    Is this really a question of whether we want to grow old(er) with the actor that plays James Bond, and thus for James Bond to grow older?

    Not sure if that ageing was dealt with in Ian Flemings books or whether he was perpetually in his 30's.

    Brosnan aint too old, Roger Moore was 2 yrs older than Brosnan is now when A View to a Kill was released.

    Well, Sir Roger said it, that he was definitely too old in AVTAK. And as much as I respect him, I have to agree.

    By the time Fleming wrote You Only Live Twice, he had begun to 'fudge' Bond's age a bit, to keep him in that age range.
