Well, Ricardo, like I said, its all a matter of interpretation.

Just because you have an opinion that the scene is ineffective doesn't mean that I agree with you. Just a difference of opinion. Nothing else.

If you don't "believe" in this scene is as being plausible between a Bond and a woman, well. then, what else can I say?

By the way, no one is "screaming" (give me a break) about anything. Your point that no woman would fall for Bond so "easily" is backed up by my observation that women find a man like Bond attractive. The bad-boy syndrome at work.

Its not as seductive and romantic as other scenes. Okay, good point...but does it matter?

You don't HAVE to like this scene. But don't expect me to discard this scene because it is not as "correctly" handled as the one in DN.

    Its called having an opinion.

Respecting each other's views is what its all about.

    "Ejector seat? You're joking."
"I never joke about my work, 007."

I never said you didn't have a right to your opinion. You have that right. I also have a right to challenge your opinion.

It's a shame that all these ladies who love DC don't bother to go to his other movies ,which at best have a very lack luster Boxoffice. :))

Again, thats very true Thunderpussy. I would have thought quite a few people out there didn't even know who he was before his casting as Bond (I have to admit I didn't).

Craig certaintly hasn't been the only Bond actor without much box office draw outside of Bond.

Agree with both protagonists here. Yes, there's no logical reason for Fields to react to the line, it's almost a way of saying how easy it is for Bond to score and yes, he would. Actually it's similar to Bond's pickup in DAD with Berry, almost flaunting Bond's ease with the ladies in a way that is realistic but does nothing for me, whereas Bonds pickup with Trench in Dr No lifts the heart (sort of).

Often guys don't have to use ANY particular line with a woman when he's in there, in fact a fancy bit of fun like driving the Aston round the block and being back at the hotel as in CR would be unnecessary and maybe perceived as weird by a woman lacking in the humour department.

I do think the scene could have conveyed this more effectively though, hunting for stationary oh dear. I put it down to Craig's delivery, it should have that little boy lost come on mock innocence, Russell Brand could do it.

I agree actually. Kind of like Bond in OHMSS trying to find the book about the coat of arms. :))

I actually found the line very funny and sleek. I like the fact that Bond can say something so ridiculous and yet still get a girl out of her clothes.

It's worth pointing out that, given the outfit Fields is wearing when she picks him up at the airport, she was probably pretty open to helping Bond find the stationery.
