Surely this is because she is Craig's 'new' girlfriend.... and not because she is in the running ?:)

Tis the 'silly' rumour season no?

I am not a big fan of Weisz, which means she will probably be in the film. I don't find her all that attractive and she has never blown me away with any of her performances.

Seems everyone working on Bond 23 is either "Friends" or "lovers" lets hope there are no Big falling Outs. So anyone looking a part in Bond 24 will need to be dating the leading man or a close friend on either the Producers or Director. :))

Whenever a movie gets greenlit, the initial casting rumors always fall on people who have existing or prior associations with those already confirmed to be on the project (thus Eva Green being associated with every movie Martin Campbell seemed to be involved with and the early rumors of Kate Winslet being in Bond 23). Its still early days on Bond 23; the film isn't slated to be released until the holiday season of 2012 which means we probably won't get much in the way of concrete casting info until at least the late spring or summer.

As for Weisz, I would view her as something of a longshot simply because she seems to prefer smaller, more intimate movies these days. She already has a few action heavy films under her belt and her interests would seem to lie elsewhere.
