Re: Watched it again

I will be the first to admit there is a lot of campness in RM;s Bond but that was those times carry on films ,double meanings, cheeky winks ect and campness is great imo.
David Hyde Price as Niles Crane in Frasier is to me probaly the best character ever to appear on tvbut what Iam trying to say and perhaps not coming across to well is that CR and QOS and DC are supposed to be tough, dark ,gritty and how Fleming intended Bond to be[yeah right] and imo all  that comes across to me is a pouting, camp actor trying to act tough.
With Rogers Bond it is kinda like The Scarlet Pimpernail, a foppish cover but underneath a tough guy.

Re: Watched it again

The new 007 Magazine (Fan Club) has a lengthy piece on QoS, the author also in some confusion as to whether Mathis is a traitor or not. He suggests the next film could be a remake of OHMSS, only taking place some years down the line with Quantum replacing Spectre but Blofeld still the head, leading to the YOLT follow on and so on.

It's a hatchet job, most of it reserved for Marc Forster. Londoners can read it in the movie bookshop on St Martin's Lane, opposite Stringfellows.

Really really hope the stuff about 23 is way off beam.

Re: Watched it again

Ah, no, I miswrote... the author merely says that is what he'd like to see, and how it would make sense, not that there was any chance in hell of that being Bond 23, and he admits that.

Thanks for clarifying. I am really trying to be optimistic re 23 as if IMDB is correct with Feinnes and Bardem on board it could be a corked.
