Please note this is a split topic with regards to some cufflinks that were going to (or were) produced, which members wish to discuss. I ask you to discuss this politely and to chip in if you want to.

    Absolutely and when I spoke to said trusted serious person via PM, who came onboard with the project, I thought it would get turned around and made to work. Sadly the individual who started the projectjust had the wrong attitude and was very immature so even the experience of a trusted member could not save the day. Which goes to prove how bad it was :(

    Well...you kick off with what you know then...I was in contact with two of the main people involved with the cufflinks until almost the very end...

    It's my opinion that if you pay for something then you have more of right than someone that does not....if you believe otherwise...that's up to you...doesn't make either of us right or wrong though...it's like if I pay to watch SKYFALL at the cinema and you don't and sneak in, then don't blame me if I have you thrown out...you have no right to be there...

    When a moderator tells a normal pleb member that something is 'best left alone' I think anyone can be forgiven for taking that as being told to leave it.

    I have never rubbished your knowledge regarding the infamous cufflinks in any way. I do not know exactly what you know nor do you know what I know or other members might know. It is the latter part of this what 'other members might know' I am interested in - they may not be able to add anything that I don't already know but they may know something that I don't know because no one can know everying - if you know what I mean?

    You stated that other members have a more valid point if they handed over money. However, all points are opinions and all opinions are as valid and equal as one another - even if some are more informed than others. If this level of equality is not present on the forum then it isn't a particulary good thing to be part of - which I hope is not the case.

    The cufflinks is not something I am aware of and if you wish to discuss it further I will open a new topic and move the above posts in to it.

    Also regardles of whether members were customers or not they have a right as members to know the result of something that had such an impact on the forum!

    Ok then Sir Miles here is one for you! It seems to me that many members can't wait to show off their latest Bond related acquisition and certainly projects done on AJB see numerous pictures posted on the forum. YET despite this no one who has received the infamous cufflinks has posted a photo of them on the forum? Perhaps they are so pleased with them they don't want to share them with the forum - they are that good! OR perhaps they are so bad they are thinking its best left fogotten as a bad mistake? They say a picture says a thousand words - well so does the lack of one!

    Personally I would just like to see the end result. Looking at another thread several others do too but I find it curious as to why there is a reluctance to post some images?

    I have been informed by a fellow AJB member that these cufflinks were indeed sent out to members who bought them.
