The Bondologist Blog - Article Update & Discussion Thread (Page 1 of 4)

Just added a new article...well I say new - it's new at least new to The Bondologist Blog, http://thebondologistblog.blogspot.co.uk/

The article in question, called "Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli and the Blueprint for James Bond" was actually written by this author back in March 2009 for RIghty007's www.felixleiter.com webpage celebration of the Centenary of the birth of "Cubby" Broccoli. This was my contribution to the series, which also included contributuions from Righty007, 00Twelve, Richard Kiel and Simon Gardner. I don't think the article got a big deal of exposure on the Felix Leiter website when it was first posted on there on 5 April 2009, so I've decided to post it as a new article on my blog. Please feel free to read and comment on the article and to join up to become a member of the blog. I need all of the Bond fan support that you can muster here on AJB to keep on writing lengthy and hopefully very interesting literary and cinematic James Bond articles. This article is designed to whet your appetites for the new set of articles which will very soon be featuring on the blog in the Autumn/Winter season of 2012. I intend to post an update e-newsletter on my blog about the "forthcoming attractions" to generate the maximum amount of interest in this year of Skyfall and the 50th Anniversary celebrations in October 2012.There will be several articles designed to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Dr. No in October 2012 and also the 60th Anniversary of Casino Royale's publication in April 2013. My special research interest at the moment is the early critical reception and levels of violence in the original Ian Fleming James Bond novels and the early EON Connery Bond films that were very faithful to their source material. There is much new, undiscovered material being utilised in these particular articles, so I do hope that they get a wide Bondian readership interested and engaged. I'm also very much interested in the controversial aspects of the Continuation of the James Bond Novels by Amis, Gardner, Benson, Higson, Faulks, Deaver (and in 2013) William Boyd. There are also a few critical pieces solely focusing on the James Bond films. Watch this space and the blog for all this and more...We've got all your favourites, kiddies!

Yes, I was already actually thinking of something along these lines, myself - especially the very interesting Tommy Steele quote in TB. Will do something on this in time on my blog. Thanks for your feedback.
