    My idea for Bond 24
Title: The Proptery of a Lady
Starring: Daniel Craig as 007, with the now new regulars, M, Q and Moneypenny with Felix Leiter, Benedict Cumberbacht as the intelligent henchman/ villian of Quantum. Mr White and Anne Hathaway as the main Female Villian (leader of Quantum) and Emily Blunt as the main Bond girl.

As others have suggested I love to see Laurence Fishburne
as a Bond Villain. -{ I've also suggest before to play against
their image Colin Firth or Hugh Grant.

Actors can play many parts, James Suzuki :))
It may be a bit left field but I think these type
of actors would relish a chance to play something
    different. :D

ROFL! I can't stand Hugh Grant for exactly that reason. It's hilarious to picture him as a Bond Villain. Of course, if Donald Pleasance can be Blofeld... 8-)

The idea of an actor playing against type as a Bond villain isn't a bad idea. Hugh Grant as a Quantum plant/mole in the government would work on the premise that no one would suspect a mild mannered Hugh Grant type......however there could be a credibility problem when Grant's character is confronted by Bond and he starts stammering and weeping. :)) :s
On the other hand, while he wouldn't be playing against type, Sir Anthony Hopkins is a master at being able to play fatherly and kind and turn on a dime into evil and menacing.

I actually would like to see Quantum return. What makes Quantum compelling and interesting to me is that they are three dimensional.....while certainly capable of heinous acts of murder and violence there is a nuance, restraint and intelligence to what they do. A great example would be rescuing and sparing Bond from the hands of LeChifre. Mr. White is a great character/villain. Anthony Hopkins would make a great head of Quantum or maybe a good actress as the head of Quantum.

Maybe Rachel Weiss as the leader of Quantum (or daughter of the leader) who becomes obsessed with Bond and will not be satisfied until she beds him, turns him, or kills him. MI6 could have a mole in Quantum who is aware of this and a plan is hatched to use Bond as the bait to bring down Quantum. :v :007) Her obsession with Bond being the lone crack in Quantum's armour.

    A well written post, sir.

I'm in total agreement on Sir Anthony Hopkins - he was born to play a James Bond villain. I hope that he gets the chance in the next Bond film.

Count me in for Sir Anthony Hopkins as well. Originally he was suppost to play Alec Trevelyan in Goldeneye, when the earlier script had Trevelyan written as a more of a mentor to Bond than a partner.

I like the idea of having good, English actors in villain roles.
So I wouldn't mind James Fox as a villain as well as Peter Davidson and Colin Firth. Liam Neeson, Benedict Cumberbacht, Robert Downey Jr. and Anthony Hopkins would all make interesting villains and I still standing for Anne Hathaway as a villainess.

Matthes was great as Goebbels in Der Untergang/The Downfall. I think he would make a great bond villain.

Bruce Willis (Die Hard) as a James Bond villain would be an excellent box-office draw. Both Daniel Craig and Bruce Willis are very physical actors.

This might work, and could be very interesting indeed, but he would have to be playing a very different character to John McClane, and I'm not sure just how capable Bruce Willis is of that!

Willis actually played the villain in that pretty lame "reimagining/remake" of "Day of the Jackal".

Not sure about Bruce Willis. I don't think it would work.

But I think it depends what we want in our Bond villain(s) for Bond 24. Do we want a physical challenge to Bond like Alec in GE or Sanchez in LTK. Or do you want a more old fashioned "Evil Mastermind" like Blofeld or Stromberg?

I'd like to see the latter but not in a campy way. Maybe a brilliant but much younger Bond villain could work. Between 28 and 40. Someone who doesn't get his hands dirty but has a finger in everything that goes around in the plot. Depending on his nationality and role in the movie there are hundreds of possible actors to be cast.

    Too expensive.

Not only does brucie demand only the finest nosh back stage, plus payment in either bullion or oddly South Korean real estate, but you'd also have to pay the guy who operates mr forsythe from behind the scenes.

Hmmm, Bond villain..... someone who looks unassuming, potentially lethal, has an evil sidekick/mistress, hell bent on world domination, has some form of company or charity foundation as a front, makes a bloody big mess, gets caught but ultimately gets away with it leaving the door open for a possible comeback....?

    Or, if its a blofeld-esque eye deformity, wobbly jawwed blundering buffoon who gobs off and gives the whole plot away within the first 5mins, likes armchairs and stroking any pussy unfortunate enough to come within his grasp;

    Or how about a woman, again acting under a veil of Christian values only to secretly harbour hoarding cash, offing her husband, spawning evil offspring and making sure she's got every finger and toe in every dirty, bent, stolen and forged pie in the whole of landan tarn;

I want to see a villain who escaped out of a psychiatric Ward, he'll be more crazier then Silva, Joker etc. This would also give an excuse for his absolutely Bonkers plan. I've already planned his introduction scene out...
Bond is wanting to see the villain. He's chasing the villain through a weird skyscraper full of criminal activities such as Illegal Gambling, Brothels etc. This chase runs for five minutes until he rushes into a huge, lit up social room (with a big empty space in the middle). The henchman has disappeared and he walks around all Bondian with his PPK out. Suddenly all the lights go out in a creepy moment and Bond is attacked from the behind, he falls on to the ground and his gun is taken away from him. The room is in total darkness. Then music starts playing (I was thinking something like Ma Baker Boney M). Bond is really dazed and he tries to stand up when a door opens and light rushes in. The villain, whose totally lost his marbles is dancing towards Bond. The room then starts flashing really fast like a disco as the Villain (with heaps of woman around him of course) madly dances with Bond totally confused . The woman and also some men as well who appear (with the villains help) ties Bond up. Then the villain with his henchman dance around 007 with the flashing lights still pounding on. Bond slowly starts to lose it as the music gets louder. His hands are ties up so he cannot block his ears and soon they pick him and start crowd-surfing him. Bond starts to yell then scream, its torturing him. Then the lights go out, the people leave but the villain stays, laughing.
Well, that's how I picture it. What do you think?

How you doing TP ? I rewatched Sky fall again today and I was thinking to myself it may indeed be # 2 on my list after Majesty as well. One damn fine Bond film indeed. Silva is hands down the best Bond villian since the 60's. I like the idea of Christoph Walz as the head of quantum petting a cat wearing a diamond choker.

I've noticed that there hasn't been many american main villains at all. Let's see:

    Blofeld from OHMSS
    Dr Kananga
    Max Zorin
Brad Whittaker (if you even count him as the main villain - I don't)

    That's it!

So time for an american bond villain I think.
I want Harrison Ford. He usually plays the good guy. (Has he even ever played a villain?) He's my favourite actor, and given his age, I think he'd make a great head of quantum (That's if they don't make the head of quantum a woman which I also think would be a good idea).
