Re: Bond Blu-ray and 4k Film Club
Here's what I just bought. Hopefully it's got all the extras http://www.amazon.com/Never-Say-Again-B … ever+again
What's the BR transfer like for this one if you can recall?

Yes, that looks like the one I have. It's not one of my favourites
But I think it was a good transfer, ( haven't watched it in ages )
Although I know it didn't have the restoration treatment the official
Bond films got.
NSNA is SO uneven... at a smaller price I'd get it on BR, but the film just isn't good enough for more than ten bucks IMO.
Can't remember the price but I think I got it for something
Like £ 5.99, which I was happy with as all I really wanted was
The commentary.
I got my DVD of NSNA from Sainsburys for £3.99.
Yep, had the DVD but the only extra on it was the film trailer, and
I love watching the " making of" features and listening to the
Commentaries, always remember something new.
i just need to complete my collection. Next step is Everything or Nothing DVD and the 54 CR. I hope they release EON at somepoint on Blu-Ray
My top 4 James Bond films based on the Blu Rays I felt it absolutely necessary to own first :
YOLT
TLD
LTK
TND
Just got the BR of TND, and again I am thrilled. So many little bits of visual information just there for a richer experience. It's not like night & day- my DVD was quite impressive, but enough difference to make me very glad I got it.
Next up will be YOLT. I predict THAT to be a startling difference. We'll see.
Yeah - the older ones have the wow factor (naturally)
Enjoy!

Yeah, TLD & LTK pretty much blew me away. TND just blew me down.
Either way, it's nice to get blown.
(That's for you, Thunderpussy )
Ah! My work here is done.
Would not be AJB without any Wit
....... Or at least half of it !

Well played, R.
Just finished YOLT on Blu Ray, and.. I got words...
First, wow did it look great.
Second, I'm SO tired of hearing how SC phoned in his performance- he was freakin' stellar here IMO.
Third, poor cat- I'd run too...
I agree about Connery's Performance in YOLT
One of the great things for me with the bluray of YOLT, was I finally
Noticed the clip of the original actor for Blofeld. Where Bond first
Meets him. As you can see his hair over the top of the chair back.
I've read about it, but was never able to see it before.
( Jan Werich, was the original choice )
Jan Werich was seen too much like a 'Sweet Father Christmas' then that of a menacing Villain.
Yes, I get that a lot too.
This month ,I've watched DAF and LALD
They have the usual extras from the ultimate DVD collection
Both in my opinion have transfered very well, I'd say that
LALD looks a little better. Although I know LALD ( along with
TMWTGG ) was filmed in a different aspect ratio, and somehow
I feel I'm missing something when it's not in the letterbox shape.
Do they still have the pointless 'Activate' Option before you get to the main Menu?
Thankfully NO !
That's good then I still have my original DVD Set from 2001 which came in the Tin.
