Yeah, I'd support Bond simply being drawn out of 'retirement' to deal with Blofeld being on the lam. Duty, not revenge :007)

plenty of ideas from me for the 25th .....

call it PROPERTY OF A LADY

    propertyofaladyposter_zpsdaa4c741.png
(made this LAST year, replace JESPER CHRISTIANSON with ** ******)

have said "PROPERTY" the film's maguffin
have more "00"'s in it, since they are rebuilding the service ..... maybe have all the people who's name keeps popping up!
have "THE LADY" with a multi-purpose past???
    pre-credits in las vegas
have ESB in one scene ..... but NOT be the main nemesis, perhaps someone you can't say no too? :p
a new gun barrel set to match the opening scene ..... a tracking shot going INTO the shot!
NO TITLE SONG until the end credits, the title tune being a jazzed up instrumental, with comic book scenes from all the previous bonds

ohh can't say anymore, can't have those broccoli's ripping my my ideas :p

I'd support a Bond brought out of retirement for some reason for one last hurrah before a reboot of the reboot with a different younger (but fully formed Bond) This could give the 50 year old Daniel a fitting swan song (pun intended ) and not have him have to pretend that he is in his prime. His knee could be an issue but he is still someone you would not want to cross. Daniel could have any field day with this and do a superb job (as long as they can avoid/negotiate the hoary " I'm too old for this ****" shtick. A burnt out Bond getting back into shape but still having to rely on his smarts and determination to stop someone really bad (preferably deeply perverse) from doing something terrible. Lower budget, no Helicoptes, no planes, plenty of fisticuffs and genuine tension...Where do I sign./Can I get a witness?

What if they follow the story (as discussed on James Bond radio) that at the start of Bond 25, he awakens still in the chair being tortured by blofeld, that would set the cat amonsgt the pidgeons I must say. I doubt the producers would ever go down that road.....but what if?

I don't think they are good enough to think of that. That would be a good plot twist. :007)

    Bond 25-
Bond sets about to take down the actual head of SPECTRE, the newly elected President of the United States.
Bond: "So all that power and wealth come down to just this?"
The Donald: "Yes. Call it my bad hair day, Mr. Bond!"

Excellent, and it would make a perfect finale for Craigy's Bond, with a total backflip from Conneryesque CR to an almost full Moore!

Wasn't half of Skyfall about Bond being old and out of shape? And for the 1983 films, a fully active 55-year-old Roger Moore was far better than an over-the-hill 53-year-old Connery.

I felt it was glossed over rather than explored as well as it could have been but I take your poin(s)

    Who is 009?

I don't know if this has been discussed before (it has, right? ?:) ), but here it goes: Empire magasine writes that Mendes knows who he would have cast as 009 if he had been in SPECTRE. The actor has been linked to playing Bond before . His wife has been in a Bond movie. He is best known from US TV and he has red hair.

It has to be Damian Lewis, right?

I'd like to see 007 on another big mission, whether it's chasing after Blofeld or another big bad. I don't necessarily want to see Swann return. They could mention her briefly, having Bond or another character say it "didn't work out."

I don't see Bond as the type that can really stay retired or even in a steady relationship for long. He gets bored and restless when he goes a long time without a mission (as we saw in Skyfall).

The next installment will most likely be Craig's last (unless he decides SPECTRE will be his last) so I'd like to see them go big before he goes home.

I would like on or two main locations instead of 4 or 6

I'm with you there; this would allow for more immersion into the location/setting. THAT is an element of the classic Bonds that would serve Eon better than checkboxes for various past occurrences.

Could have Blofeld kill Madeline and make it look like Bond did it. A revenge story plus man on the run.

Bond has killed innocent people in the past and faced no consequences. It wouldn't work now. M would believe Bond, and he has enough power to not have the authorities going after Bond.

Fewer locations but better use of each. I have (as others) long wanted Bond in Australia, the range of different environments could be superb. Very little time in London (my Berg) maybe just opening and closing with maybe a brief episode in Japan.

What if Bond is no longer with MI6 (you know, as is suggested by the end of SP?)?

I'd think he would still have the connection. But I'm with chrisisall and zaphod99. I don't want another revenge or rogue story. I want another James Bond 007 story.

I don't want another revenge story, either. It's probably time to move on to the next Bond actor and have a soft reboot.

But if you are going to have another film with Craig, you'll need to have an explanation for what happened to Madeline. This isn't like the Sixties where Bond can go floating away, seemingly in love with Tatiana, who is never heard of again.

If they adapt Fleming's YOLT story, I'd be okay with more revenge. But I never got the impression that Connery and Moore were ever in love with their Bond girls. Tatiana was in love with Bond, but not the other way around. Craig, yes. But I wouldn't buy the idea of Bond on the run. I think they can combine the idea of revenge and still have Bond do his job.
