    He might die, playing the role :)) if he keeps doing the stunts. ;)

    He nearly did during the free diving shoot. He impressively managed to train himself to the level of real free-divers, but was doing too much action underwater during one shoot and actually passed out for real underwater. Kudos to him for committing to the role so well.

    On, I've nothing but respect for him in what he does in the stunt work and
    How much time he spends with his fans at premieres -{

    Religious lunacy aside, he is a thoroughly nice and grounded bloke.

    Yes, the first Mission: Impossible was far better than the Brosnan films. M:I2 was poor.

    Rogue Nation is better than Spectre for action and suspense, but both films suffer from unsatisfying climaxes that, curiously, are set within a mile or two of each other.

    The first one made the second one possible. When Hunt was blown onto the train I was like, "Ohhhh, so we're on THAT level now, okaaaaaay." At least MI:2 started & stayed there.
    The Brosnan's were Action-coated Bonds, but still Bonds at the center, and therefore BETTER. :))
    Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

    besides Brosnan's Bonds being far superior; I think M:I-2 was the best out of the franchise

    I'd substitute "most entertaining" for "best" there, but yeah- we see pretty eye-to-eye here. {[]

    Just watched RN. It was very good indeed.As a series of set pieces it generated more tension and suspense than SP. What really impressed me was the quality and credibility of the female lead. There was also much more evident chemistry and justification for the relationship. I still don't know much or care about Ethan Hunt, but had to hand it to the team responsible for delivering a high quality actioner. I had heard that the stunts and set pieces were first rate, but did not expect the plot twists. Dialogue was little more than perfunctory, and like SP it was a little too long. The car and motorcycle stuff was genuinely exciting and made SP look tame by comparison. Oh and there was also cool toys.

    Honestly speaking, I've totally forgotten what Rogue Nation was about. Then again I've only seen it once whereas I've seen Spectre thrice now.. Haha..

    It's really is a series of set pieces strung together, but strung together in a pacy and inventive way. I suspect that the problem with SP is that I do recall what it is about, and wish I didn't as the narrative is weak.it's no more than a fun romp at best, at worst it's a fun romp without the fun and with delusions of grandeur. I saw it again very recently and it unravels before my eyes. I want to like it, so I won't watch it again for sometime. I doubt that I'll ever watch RN again, but remember it more fondly due to its pizzazz.

    Just saw Rogue Nation over the holiday, and I'm sad to say that it was superior to Spectre in nearly every way. From the stunts to the music - and even the plot - Rogue Nation was the better film.

    Oddly over the years the big stunts, although fun don't hold my interest as much as the
    Performance of the actors in situations during the story. So I prefer Spectre as I think
    they had the better cast and performance. ( only my opinion ) :)

    I agree that Spectre had a better cast, but I don't think it translated into better performances. Specifically, I think Waltz and Seydoux were flat in comparison with Rebecca Ferguson and Sean Harris (as the leading lady and villain, respectively). This is the chief weakness of Spectre, in my opinion. I'm not sure whether it was down to the writers, the director, or both.

    when I first saw a pic of the villain of RN I thought it was Tom Cruise with a but of make-up :))

    I also think that Rebecca Ferguson was terrific, a very credible counterpart, whip smart, highly capable in field craft,and an intriguing character. Sean Harris also generated significantly more menace than the bored looking Waltz. Dialogue was better in SP, but only just, and I care about Bond a lot more than Hunt. I think because I don't care as much about MI I was able to enjoy it more. I had not spent the last three years anticipating it, and the MI franchise does not ask/require me to take it seriously rather than it being better as such (if that makes any sense) just my humble opinion of course, not a fact, state of nature or an ideology ;)

    MI:Ghost Protocol, did make me catch my breath at one point.
    When Tom after climbing up the skyscraper, falls. I did actually
    Gasp, with an intake of breath :D it' a long time since a movie
    made me do that.

    Knowing he did it for real was a big plus. But I have to admit I wasn't fond of the sticky gloves thing. The least they could have done to sugar coat that nonsense was make a full-on Spider-man joke.... :D

    Rogue Nation is objectively a better movie than SPECTRE. I wanted to love SPECTRE but it just did very little for me, which is a real shame.

    Rogue Nation was good. I enjoyed SPECTRE much, much, more. Real simple, for me a good Bond film always trumps MI. Bottom line, I enjoyed Rogue Nation, might catch it again when it hits HBO or Showtime. SPECTRE I've seen twice and will buy the Blu Ray. There's nothing objective about it for me. There's an emotional attachment to Bond. For me, the gunbarrel and PTS are more enjoyable than some other entire films. It's why when a Bond film is not up to snuff we get very hypercritical and when it's good we love it. -{

    Agreed, Itoo feel a Bond with Bond ( see what I did there) ;) I enjoy the MI films but I
    Love the JB films. -{

    MI2 is amazing. It's as dumb as TND, but with an actual script :D

    By the way, Rogue Nation has a scene that reminded me a lot of TLD. Might be a coincidence but who knows.

    MI was nowhere near Bond movies at the time. MI2 was vasty improved and almost as watchable.

    MI is actually a very good movie, but it should be. Brian de Palma runs circles around any Bond director with the possible exception of Sam Mendes.
