It's definitely an English menu with lots of Game (Rabbit, Grouse, Partridge, Venison etc) The menu can be viewed here and it's not as expensive as you may think. I am a big fan of this menu and the cooking is very good as is the atmosphere.
Yes I remember looking at the menu outside and thinking actually it's not too bad. There are plenty of places much more expensive without the history to them (or the Bond connection)
I cook my own meat as no one else will eat it! When I have bacon it has to be cooked until it shatters like glass when stabbed with the fork. Anything else is undercooked to me!
