I am saving for to buy a car. I have not got yet the monies i need to buy the car. I have looked on the internet before at James Bond cars. I saw this for sale but I think I will need to save more monies to buy it!

I remember once my Brother's Saab 900 rolled down the small hill outside our house. It hit a perimeter wall !
The wall fell down, ...... The Saab was unscathed ! :D
I always coveted the saab 900 Turbo as a boy, my favourite was the carlsson limited edition, fantastic, unfortunately my experience with the marque was not good, I had a saab 93 2.0t convertible aero, I loved the car but I had to replace the engine twice, first time it went was just 23 miles after collecting it from the dealer, it never felt right after the first engine swaps.
Mine was the same as the pic below but in blue with a blue soft top

I had a BMW Z3 last year. A 2.8 litre straight 6 engine it went like sheeite off a shovel! Such a great car. I bought it for a road trip holiday that involved driving from London to Troyes, then to Lake Annecy, up over the Alps and down to the Italian & French Riviera before sticking it on the car train back to Paris. Unfortunately it wasn't metallic blue, rather a dark green. Gutted I sold it! It only cost me £2500, I may have to get another :)

I'd like a Z3, but not so much because of the Bond connections; more because you can make it into one of these:

Nice, thanks for sharing that looks amazing - although I suspect the conversion may be a little over a 'budget car'!!

Well, curiously a Miata can be made into a car with a Bond connection...

Even a 240Z has been made into one

Yup, love a Saab; has one as a company car ages ago and it was a blast. Saab’s demise was a sad day.

Although Saab was loved by many, here in Finland, for being a robust an dependable winter car (no car ever warmed up faster than Saab). It was usually still mentioned that " Saabismi on sairautta" or "Saabism is a sickness".

Nice: I didn't realise they did a QoS tie-in. Does it have some graphics on it or something?

No there's no special graphics, but it's a unique variant of the 159, and there are only 235 of them in the world, 250 were made. It's visually the same as the qos Alfas but with a different engine and came with £3000 worth of interior gadgets, the list of stuff is staggering.

I see a couple of dbs's regularly, one of my neighbours has one. I'm collecting the car on Saturday so will post up some pics at the weekend as I've been asked by the alfa owners club for some too.

Nice; I hope you don't have (too many!) problems with it. I had an Alfa of a similar vintage: they handled brilliantly and the interiors are wonderful. Never quite powerful enough but lovely cars to be in.

This is my 9th alfa (3 on the drive now) and in all honesty they have been the most reliable cars I've ever had, if properly maintained they give little trouble, I've had Jags, audi, BMW, range rover, Saab this reputation they have was not really deserved in the first place and has just perpetuated, I'm fact Alfa are ranked 5 in the reliability table. The big German marque's enjoy an almost legendary reputation which is not practically deserved but won by a fantastic marketing campaign that they do really well. Any one remember the " if only everything in life was as reliable as a volkswagon"?
