More trouble with the Roger Moore dvds.

I've got the 2 dvd box sets, Ultimate editions, one with the Sean Connery films and one with the Roger Moore films. Some of the Roger Moore films became faulty about 3 years ago, whereby the playing surface became cloudy and sticky and the films froze when I tried to play them. Someone on the forum advised me to contact the company, which I did and they asked me to send the affected discs which they replaced. I've noticed 2 of the discs, Live and let die and Octopussy have gone the same way and are covered in a cloudy sticky surface. The others look ok, and the Connery ones have never deteriorated. So disappointed this has happened again. I can't remember the company's email address. There's both MGM and Fox on the dvd covers. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Richard

I've just checked my email history. I think it's Fox who dealt with me last time. Hopefully they'll help. Has anyone else had trouble with the Live and let die and Octopussy dvd's?

I never had problems with UE DVDs. I had all four box sets , which I bought back in 2006. I recently sold them to an antique store which carried movies.
I always felt the transfers on some of the Moore's left a lot to be desired, especially LALD.
    The discs themselves played fine.

Fox emailed today to say I should return the discs to the retailer. Too late for that as it was too long ago. Fox did say to get back to them if there's any problems, so I will do. Has anyone else encountered problems with the Moore dvds? Thanks.

No, just have a problem with Moore as Bond.

I have owned the Ultimate Edition DVD's since 2006 and I have not encountered this issue thankfully. I do know that Live And Let Die had coloring issues with its UE release as 007 Magazine outlines here:

I would recommend getting a copy of the Special Edition of Live And Let Die, since the color levels are correct and it to my knowledge has not had the disc wear out.
