Just wanted to share a recent experience and my thanks to DBS once again.

I was lucky enough to buy an item from him and to save shipping (and customs) fees he kindly hung on to it until I was on a business trip to the US. Delivery was timed to perfection by him and I was delighted to arrive at the hotel and for the receptionist to say, "There's a package for you sir" - a moment of Bond-like living! (I was channeling scenes from Casino Royale, QoS and so on..... :) )

    A man to be trusted!

I was really lucky to purchase a TB Catalina shirt from him.

My experience dealing with John was a straightforward & simple pleasure.
Shipping was cheap and punctual. Shirt was exactly as described. John went out of his way to meet my special requests.

Huge credit to John as he was gracious enough to pass on the shirt for the same price he paid!

    Thanks very much mate. -{

I am fairly new to this group, though I have lurked a bit in the past. The result of that is I have never purchased anything from anyone here.
What I can make an accounting of is the websites that I have bought Bond clothing items from and I will only post those who have excellent customer service or I will post my experience with them for your perusal. Here's the list:
The Sanders & Sanders Chukka boots that I ordered from Mason & Sons. A chap named Elliot saved me from a terrible faux pas in my ordering. I selected the wrong colour (just for all the Anglophiles out there) and Elliot responded to an impassioned email from me explaining my mistake. Elliot personally removed the wrong coloured shoes and replaced them with the correct coloured chocolate ones I wanted. This saved me from the hassle of trying to return the wrong coloured shoes, which might have been a problem.
I have to say that Elliot from Mason & Sons was incredibly responsive and exceptionally helpful. I highly recommend using Mason & Sons for the Chukka boots and the matching belt which I ordered as well.
I mentioned the place I bought the new Vuarnet sunglasses from the Bond 25 photos I have seen on The Bond Experience and elsewhere. The website is eyeworldmarket.com Their prices are $100 USD less than any other place in the US, if you can find them in stock in the US to begin with, which I doubt.
For the Sperry Men's Gold Cup Authentic Original 2-Eye Rivington Boat Shoe, I bought them from www.dillards.com for a very reasonable $99 USD. Regardless of the Bond affiliation I have worn Sperry Topsiders since I was a high school kid and raced sailboats. I have 3 pairs of Sperrys in my shoe collection and was quite happy to add another pair to my collection. They're tough, comfortable shoes to wear and last forever and ever. Hence the 3 other pairs, one pair that I have had for over 20 years!
I had been looking for a pair of Adidas Gazelles since Skyfall and found a pair at https://www.adidas.com/us They're reasonable priced and I have loved these shoes since I bought a pair to play tennis in when I was in high school since they matched our school colours and I had worn out a pair of Fred Perry canvas shoes that I had been wearing for nearly a year. The Gazelles held up for about 6 months of hard playing on primarily hard-courts. I have not received them as of yet, but don't anticipate any issues as I have shopped at Dillards forever.
I tracked down the Tommy Bahama twill shirt from the Bond 25 photos as well, though I chose to order the only thing I could find, a short sleeve version of the shirt which I found at zappos.com The short sleeve shirt is very nice and looks precisely like the one Craig is wearing in the photos, aside from the sleeves of course.
After I had ordered the short sleeve one from Zappos I found a long sleeve version on eBay that was worn only once. Well, it appeared to have been barely worn, if at all. It's at my post office and I'll be picking it up tomorrow.
Lastly, I had been wanting to get the SIS logo workout shirt from Skyfall too. After discovering the website https://www.jointservicesclothing.com
I had seen where some Bond folks had ordered from the site and had some issues I decided to be cautious, but when I saw the prices, I felt that I could waste the money if that was going to happen. I really wanted the clothes. I have yet to receive the outfit as I bought the shirt and the workout pants that matched too. We'll see, but again, it's not like you're spending a fortune and if they really were a ripoff, I doubt they'd still be in business truthfully. So, I expect the outfit will arrive when it arrives. I am a very patient man.
There is one personal thing that I will mention about myself in this missive. I am a Veteran and over the course of my service I suffered quite a few head traumas and the result of the TBIs is that I have an intractable migraine. That means that I walk around with a migraine 24 x 7 x 365. I brought this up for only one reason. I wear sunglasses all the time, even to sleep in. So, I know sunglasses very well and have a significant collection of them. I bring that up to say that the brown framed, brown lens Vuarnets are exceptionally nice. They are very comfortable and the lenses are very easy on my eyes, which is saying quite a lot. Someone mentioned Persols and I have a few pairs of them, three in fact. The 714s, which any Persol fan must own because of Steve Mc Queen. I also have a pair of their aviators and a pair that are rather bookish for my regular eyeglasses, that are of course tinted for my comfort. My prescription has changed, but I am simply going to replace the lenses in the Persols and keep wearing them. Persol is one of the few glasses manufacturers that still make their glasses by hand in Italy, rather than being pushed through an assembly line in China, Vietnam or wherever they can find their labor cheap enough to keep the CEO's salary high enough. I find that practice distasteful to say the least.
That's all that I can report for now, though I got an early birthday present from my wife this year, I can buy my first Omega Seamaster watch and I have to admit, it's a rather daunting task. Before I go any further, I have to say something about my wife. My first car was a cheap Mercedes Benz 190 four door sedan that my dad found in a farmer's field in Ohio. I bought he car for $300 USD in 1975 when I was 15 years old. My dad and I rebuilt the car, well the body mostly as it was rusted out along all four door rocker panels. We worked for about one year to return the car to an as new state with a fresh white paint job. The car came with a fairly new red leather interior and since that time I have always wanted another Mercedes. A few years ago I saw a 2009 Mercedes Benz CLK 550, sitting in a local car lot. It was black with a tan leather interior and a convertible. I had gotten my wife interested in one of my passions, Formula 1 racing and our favorite team was the Mercedes AMG team with Lewis Hamilton. It wasn't long before Lewis became my wife's favorite driver. A bit after that and about one year after I had seen the CLK 550, we were in that car lot to rent a car for a weekend. I asked about the car as it wasn't on the lot. The company had not been able to move it and it was slated to go to auction. I knew it was time to act. As we had some time to kill I asked if my wife could drive the car and the answer was naturally yes. She drove the car and fell in love with it. It was the first V-8 engine car she had driven since high school days and she was smitten with the car, especially the convertible top. We bought the car a few weeks later.
Awhile afterward, two years in fact, I had been looking for a companion Mercedes for me. My wife, the fabulously patient woman that she is, gave me the go ahead to buy the best car I could find and lo and behold last December I found a fairly rare (they only sent a few more than 700 to the North American market), 2003 CL 55 AMG. It's a 5.4 liter supercharged, hand built AMG engine with 493 horsepower and 516 ft/lbs of torque. The car is silver with a blue leather interior. It was exceptionally cared for by a former Navy Master Chief. I mention that because if you know anything about men of that rank, they are meticulous and very detail oriented people. The car is phenomenal. Aside from my Bond collecting, my wife indulges me with my car obsession too. I have to be one of the luckiest men on the planet to have ended up with such a lovely and caring woman to spend my last years with. The best part is that we have known each since we went to high school together. We were only friends then, as she was my high school girlfriend's best friend. Now, for the hard part, I am having trouble deciding whether or not to buy a limited edition Bond watch or just to buy a nice Seamaster that is the same as Bond wears in the films. If anyone has advice on the topic, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Please help me out. I have some very nice watches, a Citizen Nighthawk, a very nice Citizen chronograph that ties into a radio signal for the most accurate time, both are Eco-drive watches and I really love them. I do have a few others, including a chronograph called a Soul Beouf. That watch is a red faced chronograph that I have never been able to find another reference to anywhere on the web. Nada, not one word has ever been seen about this watch. It's a battery powered, Japanese movement watch that is very accurate and it's chronograph feature is perfect. I just know not a thing about it aside from what I described.
Anyway, back to my first Omega Seamaster. I really hope someone here can point me in the right direction. I left a post on The Bond Experience hoping that David Zaritsky would respond, but alas, nothing from him so far or anyone else on The Bond Experience either. So, please, someone here advise me. I am truly in a quandary and my wife keeps pushing me to make a choice so that I have the watch in time for my birthday in late July. Thank you all. This is one of the great Bond forums on the web and you all seem so friendly and nice to communicate with that I do hope that a person comes out of the web woodwork to pass along much needed advice and encouragement for my first Omega purchase.

I have an update on the Joint Services Clothing order, it arrived today in very fine condition. The SIS jacket, was as it was depicted on their website and the matching workout pants were exactly as depicted too.
    Job done!
If you're in the market for the SIS style workout clothes as Bond wore in Skyfall as he was retraining his body for reassignment, I highly recommend Joint Services Clothing. It's extremely close to screen exact, and it's about as bloody close as you will ever find at such a low price, which I found to be quite reasonable for such an exacting product. I would bet anything that Craig himself couldn't tell the difference if you slid it on him! LOL!
    Best wishes to all!

    Dear Nobody-

To be honest, I had some amazing moments with some great people.
Yes, we were fighting a determined enemy. Yes, both sides killed as they were able to, we were just better at it.
Eventually, combat and fighting takes its toll on you. In my case, my body gave out before my
    will did.
I really appreciate hearing that from folks, so thank you again.

    Very best regards-

    kia

    Best regards to all!
    Thank you for your service!

    All-

I have purchased items from two different AJB members with excellent results. Firstly, I bought one of the Tommy Bahama twill camp shirts from JTM and it was in perfect condition and exactly as he described it.

Then I bought a pair of the correct, this time, Vuarnet Legend 06 sunglasses from NC-MI6-00. The package arrived before it was expected and was in perfect condition. In addition to the original box, glasses case and cleaning cloth, Will added a set of the screen accurate, as far as we can tell anyway, Croakies, as DC was wearing in the recently published photos, at no additional cost. I was surprised to find them in my package and it was such a kind gesture on his part that I wanted to acknowledge it here.

So, I believe you can add JTM and NC-MI6-00 to the trusted sellers role on AJB.

Just thought I would pass that along gang.

    Regards~

I second the glowing reference for NC-MI6-00.

He offered me an item I didn't think I'd ever own following a comment I made in another thread.

Was very helpful, quick postage, well wrapped etc.

    Big shoutout for Tardis1711!

Having been after a Menlo jacket for a long time and having missed a number on eBay, I contacted Tardis after he advertised he had one for sale and agreed to purchase it from him.

Couple of things I wanted to call out about Tardis...
    1. Tardis sold this to me at far less than he could have achieved on eBay - and actually even less than what I initially offered!
    2. The beast that is PayPal went out of its way to scupper the deal but throughout Tardis was patient and kind!
    3. As soon as the payment was sorted it was posted immediately and here in 24 hours.

At a time when there have been a number of ‘bad eggs’ on this board and disappointing transactions, I just wanted to highlight that Tardis has been exceptional - as have the other AJB-ers I’ve bought from.
    Yes. Considerably.
