With the prices of original UK Campaign Books going sky high, these quality recreations from 007 Magazine are a great affordable alternative with the added attraction of not falling apart each time you thumb through them  ajb007/martini

Just got volume #3 of the Goldfinger retrospective series. Looking forward to reading all of the articles, also their are some amazing pictures that I have not seen before in this issue. If you enjoy Goldfinger as much I do, I highly recommend getting this series.

Re: New 007 Magazines

I would definitely like to get my hands on The Most Famous Gun In The World magazine.  Is there any chance you’ll be re-printing that?  I missed it on the first go round, but I view it as something every Bond fan should have in their collection.

Thank you for the kind words DG. It is most gratifying to not see this publication surface on eBay.
You will be receiving a PM on this very subject. Regrettably not from myself though!  ajb007/frown

It's my pleasure.  I have long since been a fan of your work.  I remember TheSpyboys Ed telling me to get that particular special edition and that it was awesome.  Unfortunately, I dithered and lost out.  Thanks for the connect!  I made contact.

Re: New 007 Magazines

Received my copy of Th Most Famous Gun In The World.  It is simply fantastic!  Well worth the purchase price.  I never knew that the model 29 6 1/2 inch barrel (Dirty Harry gun) that Moore uses was not a factory nickel finish.  In fact, because it had been discontinued in that finish by Smith and Wesson, they took a blued gun and had it chrome plated!  Smith and Wesson still has the gun available for sale with the blued finish.  So, you could purchase this gun have it chrome plated and it would be a fairly accurate Bond gun.

Thank you two gentlemen for getting me this fantastic addition to my Bond archives!

Defiantly going to pre-order the Licence To Kill 30th anniversary issue, during a family visit to Key West a few years ago we drove past the church that Felix Leiter's wedding takes place at. Looking forward to reading all of the articles and interviews.

I had reservations about 007 Magazine’s Redux editions which I thought were just reissues of earlier editions however what Graham and Robert have produced are remastered editions of previously published magazines but with HD images and more importantly new images some of which have not been seen before  ajb007/martini

Re: New 007 Magazines

Following on from Graham’s interview on here, I’ve never read any issues of 007 Magazine (or indeed been a member of the fan club back in the day!)

I admit to reading MI6 Confidential, but wondered if anyone had any suggestions for trying out 007 Magazine. I can see quite a few are focussed on a particular subject or area. Any recommendations for issues which might be a good introduction to the publication -  ones to get a good feel for it’s style and content etc? Or any ideas on the differences between MI6 and 007?

Ppw306r not sure if you’re associated with the magazine, or just an enthusiastic reader, but you seem to be very familiar with the publication, so if you have any thoughts I’d be interested.  ajb007/martini

I had the honour once of writing an issue of 007 Magazine which sold out. 007 Magazine started back in the 1980s as an A5 sized photocopy however it did not really explode onto the scene until 1983 just in time to cover Sean Connery’s return to the big screen as James Bond in  Never Say Never Again. Graham Rye is an authority on everything which is Ian Fleming. Graham writes with a passion. If he thinks something is crap he says so. To me receiving a copy of 007 Magazine is an event which needs to be read cover to cover. As a recommendation I would suggest The Goldfinger Portfolio which covered 5 special issues. It was and is fantastic. There were also special 50th Anniversary issues for Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. Looking forward expect a 50th Anniversary issue for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The thing which has always amazed this Donkey over the years is the photo content where Graham has a gift for sourcing images which very few including EON have seen before!

Re: New 007 Magazines

Thanks for the reply ppw3o6r and further info. I’ll give the publication a whirl and see what I think!  ajb007/cheers

PS do all the magazines get dispatched in those 007 branded envelopes in the photo above? That’ll give my postie something to chuckle about!!  ajb007/lol

I´m not involved with 007 Magazine, AndrewBond, but I assure you that this is a fantastic publication, much better than the mi6 confidential (I got a couple of these. Not bad, but you can't compare...).

Re: New 007 Magazines

I have read quite a few issues of 007 magazine in my time and they have never left me feeling disappointed. Not only do I learn quite a bit of information that I did not know before, the pictures(many of which I have not seen before) are quite stunning. Looking forward to adding the fifth issue of the Goldfinger retrospective to my collection very soon. In the meantime, I am looking forward to reading the interview with Robert Davi in the Licence To Kill 30th anniversary issue.
