    17,6%.
And down by 0,2% compared to 2015.
You conventiently left out that number in your ever- lasting search for the ‚truth‘.

And it speaks for an understanding of democracy, when someone celebrates perceived ‚victories‘ ( which are not ) of right wing radical assholes.

Not really earthshattering compared to other countries before the hounds cry „ the EU is in trouble and that‘s the revenge because they stole Brexit“

So your post is manipulative at best.

And you certainly love the Express, always fighting for democracy. :)) :p

What was " celebrating " in my post ? I merely posted
Something which I thought may have been of
    Interest.
Sadly it is You who perceive insults and hidden
    Meanings to posts 8-)

I have told you, you can‘t insult me.

But I take the liberty to voice my opinion after you have posted again a factually wrong and manipulative ‚headline‘.
You are factually wrong, because PS lost 0,2% against 2015

You may fool your fanboys, hope that some do their research :)) :))

Is the tone in this post really necessary, Higgins? I don't think this is the way to create a good debating climate in tbis thread.
The reeson the True Finns is the second largest party in Finland now is that the Center Party lost 1/3 of ther voters.

Shall I be nice and apologize, when TP is posting repeatedly Fake Facts ?

I have tried to avoid a personal attack, but I won‘t call Fake News differently?

You seem slightly angry, As I have once again proved you Wrong ! :))
Your comment about me posting a celebrating ( which I notice
    You've conveniently reworded :)) ) post, you can't defend, as I made
    No comment on it.
Along with my news of the EU implementing car speed limiters, which
You derided as nonsense, has also been proved correct. :))
The rise if populist parties in many countries is a know phenomenon
And around 33% of new MEPs are expected to be from populist parties. Of Course this could be wrong bit it seems You are the one who gets facts wrong, on so many occasions :))

You can point out the error in his post without getting personal, Higgins. No-one here suspects TP of supporting right-wing populists, so why write about "celebrating" their result in the election? Neither do I think TP posts wrong information on purpose. We know him too well by now to belive that , don't you think?

    .......

A lot of talk around the fact, that you have been caught being wrong.
    Here and now!

And you still repeat the stuff with the limiters, which you habe reported as being facts while not decided yet.
Repeating your stuff doesn‘t make them any truer.

It can easily be interpreted that way. The tone of that post was ill-tempered and too personal. You're both my friends and I suggest we all take a break from the computer. The weather is lovely outside, at least where I am :)

I'm happy to have been proved Correct so many times, against your
    Propaganda :)) . So Populist parties aren't gaining support ? ......
... perhaps in your world, but here on planet earth , they seem to be.
    Whether that's good or bad is up to the voters -{
I do enjoy your posts, it fun reading them {[]

General remark after editing :)) = Propaganda :))

It also seems in Spain Vox, a far right party is beginning to gain
Ground. ( This is not a celebratory post )
Some might want to stick their heads in the sand, claiming
Fake news, but if governments don't take these parties on.
There is the very real possibility they could get power.

Nice to see that a calm, respectful, well-natured debate is continuing in here 8-) ... genuinely don't understand the need for such aggressive wording in some posts, as recently mentioned by N24.

From afar it is fairly clear to see that no good will come of this topic now, no matter how well intentioned certain posters are in having a rational & positive debating climate.

Thank you for repoening this discussion Barbel. I must say I think it is a bad idea to model this place on the S&BS, it may be a problem mixing alcohol and politics?! :s

I have received my voting papers yesterday for the local election. Even though I cherish the right to vote for everyone I am unsure that I will vote myself. I have not yet made up my mind. I often think that I am meddling in British affairs when it is really not my business to do so. I take my responsibility to vote very seriously and only use it in what I think the best way. I know I am not alone in that last sentence but I take extra care any way.

That's an interesting comment you make Joshua, as it echoes many discussions I have had with good friends & colleagues.

Without harping on about the current political situation regarding Brexit, there is a strong feeling amongst the electorate that is saying, "why bother voting - it doesn't matter anymore, as your vote will simply be ignored."

I have considered spoiling my voting paper (therefore acting like a petulant child in effect), not voting at all (therefore betraying the sacrifices that many men & women before me gave in order to secure a democratic society) & thirdly, registering a protest vote against the main 2 parties. I now think that the latter option is the only option.

If you are eligible to vote in this country Joshua, I would certainly encourage you to use it as you see fit.

I know polls are unreliable, but it seems the Brexit party looks to be well ahead
    in popularity
    https://www.channel4.com/news/poll-puts-nigel-farages-brexit-party-in-the-lead-for-mays-european-elections

I will be voting -{ ( Early and many times ;) , as is the way over here :)) ) There'll
always be an independent or even the monster looney party, who could not do any worse.

Ens007. The UKIP party is on my ballot paper. Although I would not vote for them, it will be interesting to see how they do in this election as it could be a measure of the feeling of the voting public with regard to Brexit?

There is afterwards the European elections of course!
