Topic: Which film did James Bond stick up for the little people in?

I remember some dialogue where James Bond mentions the little people in terms of them being downtrodden and he sticks up for them .
Please does anybody remember which film this dialogue came from?

I don't think Bond is the type of person who gives money to beggars and Save the Children, but when fighting the villan's plans happens to help the downtrodden it probably makes him smile a little. Not as much as the Bond girl makes him smile, but I think he finds it a nice side-effect of his actions.

Fleming’s Bond was much more likely to go out of his way to help someone than the screen version.

On a human level, I suppose you could say that Bond saved a good few of "the little people" in LALD by successfully foiling Dr Kananga's plan for making loads more heroin junkies.  ajb007/martini

Not a film, I'd admit but in Col Sun. Bond makes a point of sending a young boy
back home and off the boat he's about to attack a villian's lair. Even telling an
ally ( something like ) " Do you want to have to tell his parents if he's killed ?".
Shows Bond is human after all  ajb007/wink

In SF, I thought Bond was a bit indifferent to Patrice’s killing of the security guard in the Shanghai skyscraper.  I know he needed to see what Patrice was up to, but I felt sorry for that innocent guard.

Another one bites the dust. Oh well.
Just another day at the office. You're forgetting that he did try to stabilise Ronson, so he's not entirely inhumane, though the mission was at stake at that point.

-Roger Moore's James Bond. RIP.
I have a YouTube channel on all things Bond (amongst other things, coming soon™).
The name's Bond and Beyond. It's currently on hold, though.

Re: Which film did James Bond stick up for the little people in?

Much to Roger Moore's chagrin when looking back, Bond was pointedly of no help to the little Thai person trying to make a few baht by selling souvenirs to western tourists boating in the canal in TMWTGG.

@superado: I felt the same way about the security guard. Bond was just observing impassively, expecting that murder to happen and with no intention of intervening.
