That's true but him and others seems to have hinted at it more then enough by now.

But today someone hinted that it may not be his last: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/bond-25-daniel-craig-naomie-harris-cast-replacement-next-007-a8912856.html

    It will never end. :))

Indeed not. We've been here before!

She says “Well the thing is that everyone is assuming this is his last film. Daniel has never said that, so we don’t know."

But... yes he did. Including in Jamaica with her sitting right next to him!

Hmm, not long after MGW said they didn't usually announce the title at this point.

Are they supposed to look like they’re arguing? That looks like a conversation to me...? They don’t even look mildly ticked off.

This character assassination stuff is just rather blatant now.

They were arguing. The caterer gave them one of two options to choose from, chicken or ribs. Craig wanted Chicken because its healthier, Cary wanted Ribs because they're delicious. Craig was throwing around that he's Bond and without Bond theres no Bond movie. Cary said he's the director and he has the last say. They told the caterer they would decide what they wanted to eat after they shoot the next scene.

Maybe it's because I'm more of a Marvel fan right now and everything works like a good oiled machine in Marvel Studios but the production of Bond 25 looks like a big mess from the very beginning... Even before they started shooting. I'm not a fan I was few years ago but still it's sad to see that Craig's tenure might end on a very low note.

To be fair, EON has had its share of external trouble (studios bankruptcy, rights disputes, et al.). But they haven't been running a tight ship, either.

We'll see how the movie ends up being once we watch it. After Spectre, not keeping my hopes up, but there's always a glimmer...

I mean, it's not as if there are no precedents for great movies having a disastrous filming...

The chef, who served in the UN Peace Keeping forces before switching careers, prevented a bloody altercation by serving his special "Chicken Ribs" when the filming of the scene was completed.

I agree entirely. Many good and great films have difficult births. Also nonsense to assume friction from those photos. Seriousness yes, but that not neccessarily a bad thing. I'll reserve judgement. What is worrying is that the knives seem to be out (reference intended :-)

I couldn't get the Mirror article to load, but if it said Fukunaga and Craig were arguing on the set, I'm fine with that. History is replete with directors and stars who didn't get along but produced great films. At least it shows they care about what they're doing. I got the feeling that the creative people slept walk through Spectre.

Maybe Craig has just abbreviated his name to "Fuku" and others have mistakenly believed they were arguing? Just a thought....

I remember watching a documentary about a local paparazzi photographer. He basically said he took the photos then made up a story to suit what he had in front of him , and the papers would lap it up.
They are obviously not getting any proper info from anyone...

Creepy, evil, and bloodthirsty go a long way in forming a good Bond villain.
    While the actual physical stuff can be almost secondary, Malek is a young guy and getting into shape and looking formidable shouldn't be that difficult for him. Playing Freddy Mercury was a pretty physical role. A good facial scar always helps too. -{

I got the impression that fitness and muscles wasn't an important part of his preperations this time. He will change his physical appearance in the film, but in a different way than spending a lot of time in the gym.

I had one wonderful glass of Bollinger at Orlebar Brown and a very smooth gin and tonic at Sunspel. Much less than at the last Bond Experience event!

There's no question that the Marvel machine is an efficient one...but I'm not going to dismiss Bond 25 right now anymore than I would have dismissed CR a year before its release date, based upon the press coverage.

Bond 25 should re-introduce the big battles of the series, know what I mean? The last Bond was caught in the middle of a battle was in the Living Daylights, so we've gone almost 10 films without it when they used to be a pretty big staple of the series. What do you think?
  • emtiememtiem SurreyPosts: 5,686MI6 Agent
I was never that bothered about the battle scenes to be honest.

I just don't think the big battles we've seen in Bond previously would really fit in a modern day Bond film.
  • emtiememtiem SurreyPosts: 5,686MI6 Agent
They always end up cutting away from Bond when he’s doing the most important stuff in the battle and we just want to watch him.

I think a big battle or battles would help bring a sense of a big geopolitical threat to the world, which has been missing from the franchise during DC's reign.
