Not necessarily your favorite. What Bond films are just easy to pop in and watch without much thought?

Some Bonds I love dearly but feel I really need to be in the mood for like SF, OHMSS, CR. While others I dont enjoy as much but they are just pure entertainment fun DAD, TND, TMWTGG, LALD. How about you guys?

For some I know it may just outright be your favorites. And that's fine too!

Well...add Moonraker, Goldeneye, Goldfinger and Octopussy and you have my list.

To me, I can just escape into those films because I know them so well I don't really have to think about it.
Octopussy in particular. I've a developed a killer Kamal impression by now :D

QOS has a high level of rewatchability not only due to its duration, but because the shots are cleverly thought out and executed - there's heaps to spot and ponder over with each viewing.
Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

    Anything from 1962 - 1971 and an honorable mention to 1979 .
Basically because they are (mostly) short

I think the direction and how some shots work are a hidden gem in QoS. It's still something I wonder about, what if just some shots wandered a little more? Would that be the solution?

But then I start thinking about how it would never be as punchy or unique. Does leave a lot to be pondered.

I agree that you definitely need to be in the right mood to watch one of your faves.

I find TMWTGG, MR, TND, TWINE, easy viewing.

I seriously could not disagree more. It's a disjointed mess.

I find the Bond films of the 1980s are the ones that I find most rewatchable, in particular Octopussy, A View to a Kill and Licence to Kill.

The reasons for this are hard to fathom, as OP is a middling Bond film (although I think generally a bit underrated) and AVTAK and LTK are well in the bottom half of my ranking.

I tend to reach for the films that have my favorite locations and best John Barry scores. Easy on the eyes, easy on the ears. TMWTGG, MR, and OP are probably my top 3 most watched Bond films lately. Thailand, India, Germany, and a ton of gorgeous spots in MR make them a feast for my eyes.

A solid pre-title sequence makes a good incentive to put on a particular Bond film. As does the absence of any long boring segments such as the boat chase in LALD, the rock climbing in FYEO or the underwater battles in TB.

The first 3 Brosnan films are next in line as most rewatchable. Interesting locations and likable characters make them a joy to revisit again and again.

I used to not rank OP very highly, but the sheer amount of times I have watched it made me re-think how I rate it. It must be doing something right! I've heard the mark of a good film is how excited you are to watch it again.
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

Mine are OHMSS, LALD, MR, FYEO, OP, AVTAK and TLD. Moore is the most rewatchable Bond for me.

Mine are pretty much all the Connery Bonds, OHMSS (possibly my most rewatched) and Casino Royale.

Also I love watching the best halves of some films, such as QoS and TND where I love the first half, and don’t feel the need to watch the second half so much.

To reiterate; GF, OHMSS, TMWGG, MR, OP, LTK, GE, TND, CR, QoS, SP
Majesty and Royale, you're supposed to be in a kind of mood where you can watch it.
The ones that go down easy for me are GF and OP. OP has been referred to several times over and I personally think is because of how globetrotting of an adventure it is without being tiring at all. It feels typical but so enjoyable. Everything going for it.

Golden Gun, though I'm always thinking of what shots I'd have picked because I'm anal like that, I quite fancy out of the Moore Bonds.
It's Moore except not really and JW I look forward to. LALD would replace it but it simply hasn't clicked as much.

TND is basically a lighter version of TSWLM and I like to keep Spy as a special occasion. MR is just purer escapism than any of all the other Bonds.

Finally, the Craig equivalents, being Royale; I quite like rewatching for its whole set up and because of how big a movie it is, oddly, in this scenario/QoS;/SP; for the adverse reason I like watching Royale, because both feel as typical to me as OP is to everyone else and it's simply a punchy, escapist movie. SP in particular is just Moore but not really for me.
