    Dear Sir,

Could it be the link to the Next suit is still not working. Or could it be sold out?
Of course, I would be grateful for your opinion.
    Thank you.
    Best regards,

Timeyswirls: I think it could work for both! It's not an exact copy of the Spectre Omega. But that's kind of what I like about.

    New Post! Finally!!

The Men's Guide to Buying Lingerie!

    https://www.iconicalternatives.com/2019/07/19/guide-to-buying-lingerie/

I tried to make this a tasteful article and a true practical guide. But obviously, given the nature of the topic, there are some NSFW photos that I used. Nothing over the top, but I know some offices can be pretty strict about this kind of thing.

    Have a great Friday everyone!

Sorry the late response. I'm not sure what's going on with the Next link in that post. But tomorrow I'll publish the updated dedicated post on the Mexico suit with new alternatives. Hopefully you'll find some options!

    Cheers!

Seven: my apologies, I got confused. I've been looking at alternatives for 5 different PoW suits (B25 grey and navy, SPECTRE Mexico, GF, and FRWL) and sometimes I forget which ones I've already shared options for! :s Anyway, that NEXT one is now gone. Not sure if it's sold out or just taken off the website. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they still have something in stock? Right now I'm waiting for the brands to receive their fall inventory before I go looking for more alternatives. So the next update should be in late August/early September.

In other news, the post for the SPECTRE Mexico City suit is now updated with all new alternatives:

Sorry to go off-topic (or if it's been discussed before\wrong place) but I assume Daniel Love isn't gonna be restocking in time for his sale?
    Yes. Consssssiderably.

And another BC Morocco chino alternative?

These are the Theory Zaine Neoteric slim fit pants, in Sidewalk color.

It's a little lighter than the Express one, but it still doesn't look too bad....... might be a bit pricey, though.

Should also be noted: they're not cotton, they're "95% polyamide; 5% elastane." I imagine it's better than cotton?

I think the purpose of Daniel's sale was to clear out old inventory to make room for anything new he does. So I doubt there will be any restocking.

I like the color of those pants. But that material is probably going to make a "swish swish" sound when you walk. Kind of like golf pants.

New post: alternatives for the James Bond blazer

    https://www.iconicalternatives.com/2019/07/31/the-james-bond-navy-blazer/

I did something a little different with this one. I looked at classic blazers in both single and double breasted styles. But I also shared alternatives for more contemporary versions of those models. Kind of "updating" the different looks.

    Cheers!

A new post that's a little off-topic for the thread, but I think some here will still find it interesting. Alternatives for Steve McQueen's "The Great Escape" sweatshirt:

    Hello canoe2,

Great topic. An outfit I put together over the last years. The A-2 is a science in itself.

For your consideration regarding the sweat, I recommend looking for the Merz b Schwanen "347 SWEATSHIRT RAGLAN 1/4 ARM marine". I tried including a photo below at the very end.

It seems they're not producing the short sleeve in this colour at the the time, but quality and colour wise, have a look at the long sleeve as well, if you like:
    https://merzbschwanen.com/de_DE/shop/collections/sweatshirts-194/346-50-346-sweatshirt-1-1-arm-50-marine-254?collection=194#

Finally, I'm including a photo, which supposedly shows Steve´s original!

    Best regards,

New post: I've completely redone the post on the Layer Cake/Daniel Craig R.M. Williams Chelsea boots:

    https://www.iconicalternatives.com/2019/08/03/daniel-craig-layer-cake-chelsea-boots/

The great news is there are lots of options with one piece leather uppers. Some of the other heritage makers in Australia have cleaned up their websites and are now shipping internationally.

    Hi all!
So my friend who owns Luxeswap just got in a bunch of NWT Tom Ford ties. 6 of which are the Greene Party model!

    Quantum-of-Solace-Tom-Ford-Ties.jpg

I sent him the product and color codes for the original screen used one (TFB73 1TK C ITA 081) and he says they're an exact match. I have no idea on pricing, but if you want to follow up with him, email luxeswap@gmail.com or you can DM them on Instagram

    https://www.instagram.com/luxeswap/

And just FYI, I'm not getting anything out of this. Just friends helping friends. I will be including the ties in tomorrow's IA post. But I wanted to share them here first to give you guys first crack at them if you want one. Sorry for the short notice, but he literally got back to me about them 5 mins ago.

    Cheers!

Luxeswap quoting $260 for international buyers ($235 for US).. So dearer than the current project...
Would also be interested to know how they know these are the ties, where / how did they confirm the code (which you sent them) if the tags are blank?
Very odd for 6 ties from 2007 to turn up brand new.
Im not questioning the seller but anyone buying proceed with caution.
The tf project ties will be cheaper and Def right!

Hmm. Well I'm not at all happy to hear that. And I'm truly sorry if it was a bad experience for you.

This is exactly why I share these things and then get out of the way of any interaction between the seller and potential buyer. And I never take any kind of commission for these deals that I'm told about, even though he offers. I don't want anyone thinking I'm sharing stuff like this to make a quick buck.

I did tell him about the tie project and the estimated price for those. My strong recommendation was that he price his at or under those prices.

Regarding id'ing them as correct: I know he has sold this tie model before (and other Bond TF ties). And Luxeswap has extensive experience working with luxury goods. So if he's feeling confident they're the correct ones, I'd tend to take him at his word. Having said that, I also told him that the tags were going to be something potental buyers would ask about and it would affect the price.

As for where they came from, I don't have any doubts about that. In the four years I've known him, he's come up with some absolutely amazing things. He sources from store close outs, estate sales, pretty much everywhere and has countless contacts in the luxury fashion industry. 15 NWT Tom Ford ties isn't at all out of the ordinary for him.

But it sounds like he's getting greedy with this one, which I don't like. Again, my apologies, and I'll be more cautious about sharing things like this in the future.

Yeah I was certainly quite surprised to see the asking price for these particular ones—I believe $100 or so more than the project ties. Couldn't remember the exact price of the TF ones to compare so had to search though old emails to find the Skyfall tie invoice from Luigi (as I believe it was said that the QOS ones will be about the same per tie) but after seeing that price difference, I'll definitely be sticking with one direct from TF.

Nothing against Luxrswap of course, they're free to ask whatever they want for their items! Just in this case though, the TF project is a much cheaper and safer option (you know for sure that you're getting a SA tie).

Hi, just to clear this one up, absolutely didnt mean to imply anything re your post, its a great thing you do and lots of us benefit.

I just know from experience that THE sa ties have so many close ones its easy to believe the one you have in hand is THE one...

I have no doubtbhe is a good seller, and as Jordan says, he is entitled to charge what he sees fit.

No worries! I completely understand where you're both coming from and I think you have every right and reason to voice your concerns. As I said, I'm not happy with the price he's asking, especially after I gave him the background info. I do get quite a few sellers asking me to help them out and share their products. And 99% of the time I politely decline after vetting things as thoroughly as I can, for various reasons. In the end, I just want to make sure that if I'm going to take the time to share something with you guys here (and put them in a post on the site!) it's going to be worth it for everyone and I'm not wasting my (or anyone else's) time. Which I think is the case in this instance. Cheers! {[]

Great article, John! I have a pair of Alden Indy boots in color 8 shell that I absolutely love! I agree with your selection of the Allen Edmonds as the best option for DC's derbies; fantastic job as always!
