Sad the BC in copper with blue stripes is not with inverted colors......blue with copper stripes. I would have bought it right away !!

    Good luck with the sale.

    Cheers

Thank you yes that tie was inspired by the DC Spectre press call tie... which I wanted badly but (unfortunately) couldn't track down!! I think the navy dot tie by BC has the correct colors though.

    All the best
    Daniel

    Hi guys.

For those interested in buying from Daniel : I bought a BC tie from him but never received anything yet !!!

On the 22nd of September, I asked a quote for shipping to France for a single tie. Daniel answered "$30".....I was hoping for such an amount it would be shipped "Express".

On the same day, I made the Paypal payment (family & friends of course....) for tie + shipping costs and asked daniel to give me the tracking infos ASAP.

On the 24th, Daniel asked for my shipping informations to create a label and said the tie should be shipped next day : the 25th of September !!!

On the 28th of September I asked Daniel if he had tracking infos. No answer.

On the 3rd of October, he finally answered mentioning the tie was in the mail and should give me the tracking infos soon (in fact, I'm still waiting for them currently....). He also apologied for the delay in that reply.

On the 14th of October, I sent another PM to Daniel stating the tie was still not arrived to me and I was still waiting for the tracking infos.....

As of today, the 19th of October, no tie, no answer.....

    Thank you.

I am afraid I have had a similar experience with Dan Elkind (5991erd). Mods please take note.

Two weeks ago I sent Dan $225 for the gray Tom Ford shawl collar sweater he advertised for sale here. My experience on this forum over the past decade had been uniformly positive until that point. I routinely use PayPal Friends and Family for transactions with AJB members.

That was a mistake here. Once the $225 left my account, Dan disappeared. I messaged, emailed (both through forum email and to his personal Gmail account) and there hasn't been so much as a peep.

At least he fed you a story, Fred007. He hasn't even tried to string me along. He just took the money and ran.

I don't know what Dan's issues are, but with multiple forum members now reporting thefts, I would hope the mods take the actions available to them.

Still no tie on my side. Sorry to read your message Cheverian. I guess he needed money for another transaction. Lesson learned, I won't buy anything else Paypal F&F.

Surprise of surprises, Dan refunded my $225 with a small bonus.

    I will wait for the PayPal payment to clear to celebrate, but it’s good to see him manning up and doing the right thing. -{

Now, he just needs to ship your tie, Fred.....

I'm happy for your Cheverian. That's a good thing.

Thank you for the information - but it’s best to PM Mods directly about any issues such as these. It’s extremely difficult to keep a track on everything that goes on here and it’s even more difficult to police, hence why AJB ALWAYS advises members to do their own research before buying and to ALWAYS use forms of payment where the buyer is covered.

Hopefully there is an amicable resolution to this.

While that totally makes sense, it's also a public service they've done by warning others not to send any money to this person. That said, looks like the "friends and family" route is awful.. I will never use that should I buy from anyone.

I think we should all remember that on here 99.9% are top fellas. Ive both bought and sold and as long as I know the other member, fnf has been fine.
Its a bit like EBay feedback to me... Long standing members equals no issues. Where we see problems often happens with new members who have potentially joined simply to sell or worse case, steal...
    Skewered, one sympathises...
