Omega MOVIE watch, No Time to Die

I received this message today from my source inside Omega
"The OHMSS Watch is the only Limited edition. The No Time to Die watch will NOT be limited.
Omega will carry the movie watch in its collection to capitalize on creating new Bond fans as a Bond watch to have in their core collection"

From the horses mouth. This is different than what I was told previously, that the movie watch will be a limited run of 15007

    Great scoop, thanks Bill!

If that is true, it will be sad for collectors but a sane decision for Omega‘s bottom line.

I think that we‘d all be shocked if we knew how many sales Omega where missing out by limiting the SM300 from Spectre. It was a ridiculous decision on their part

Thank you for forwarding on the information. I was wondering if there was any mentioning of the box and if it would still be bond themed presentation or just the standard omega box? Sorry for the question and I know your information might be limited, but thought I would ask.

    Thanks again

Hmm very interesting news. I really hope we still get a SA watch then, not something "inspired by" the film watch. If the watch is not limited then when would we be looking at a release? Would Omega still wait till around April to capitalise on the moviegoers seeking it? And yes I'd be a little disappointed as well if we didn't get a NTTD themed box with the watch.

A lot of info, at 28 min in he says the new Bond watch is Titanium which means it will be lighter and more expensive.

As mentioned in the wardrobe thread, I really hope he's talking about the Aqua Terra, not the Diver :# A titanium Diver would be a good few thousand more expensive than a Ti AT...and it's that nice looking diver we've seen in spy shots that I want, so my wallet is hoping that's in steel!

From the pics which habe appeared here, the movie watch is a SMP and not an AT.

Titanium case sounds interested, what I am worried about is the „understated 007 branding“.
They should do it like with the Spectre SM300, no branding at all on the watch on the wrist I don‘t mind the branding on the caseback and on the Natos)

We have seen Craig in what looks like an AT during all the pics of him filming in Matera—but yeah I’d say it’s the diver that gets called “the Bond watch” for NTTD as it features more prominently across a few scenes.

Ah, yes - I forgot that one

But I don‘t think that the AT will be in Ti.

It doesn't sound as if he was describing the watch on Craig's wrist in Matera but a look at the product (he mentions the branding and that it's "more military-focused," which is interesting.)

Well it does look like the diver in the Jamaican and London scenes features a broad arrow on the face and that’s very military based. I wonder if there’ll be more “military-focused” aspects than just that?

Same here, the guy who works at the boutique near me also mentioned that the movie watch will not be a limited edition and that they may start taking deposits early next year. At first I thought they're saying that to push more people to buy the newly released LE.

So we are looking at somewhere between $6500 to $13000 for the non limited Seamaster 300m NTTD?

    I’m thinking $8500 US

All that really matters to me is that the thing has a brown face. That’s a non-starter, no matter how well done the rest of it is.

Agreed maybe 9,000 but really think 8,500 is the number.

I'm thinking it's an homage to the earlier Rolex submariner like the Tudor Blackbay in the attached picture. Perhaps Asp can comment?

According to the watch guy from that blog, it's a great looking watch so I'm excited to see it. Not crazy about the titanium price though.

If I'm honest the Spectre watch is the only really good looking one they've done. Hopefully it's in that vein.

That Tudor has gilt details, but the face is black, just like the Rolex. And when you hold one, the gold is MUCH less pronounced than in that picture. Based on Asp’s description, it sounds like Omega has gone in for a faux-tropical brown dial. Horrid if true. And sadly you can’t really trust HODINKEE anymore. Omega was paying for Clymer to be on set. You’re never going to get an objective appraisal under those circumstances.

Maybe the brown dial is more like the limited edition 1957 seamaster, railmaster, and speedmaster? And hopefully not just "brown".

No, it’s a vile brown bezel and dial. A milk chocolate brown similar shade to some older PPK grips actually. It might have worked better on an older model style, but on the new Model Seamaster, which this is, conical He valve etc, it just doesn’t do it for me. It’s nothing like the Black Bay 58, which is gorgeous in real life. it would have been great to see that on Bonds wrist. Like the Spectre Seamaster, it’s a fine example of classy updating.

Out of the omegas on bond's wrist, I guess so. Planet Ocean was pretty good.

None of them are as nice as the 2254.50 though. I'd take that over any of the Brosnan/Craig watches so far.

Looks like it's more the vintage tropical dial and not milk brown
