I think it's the young girl. If you remember the video where the masked man chased her on the ice? At the end she suddenly got down on one knee. I think that's when she falls through the ice. the shot of her actually going through the ice was probably filmed in a tank With warmer water and possibly a body double. I also think the figure under the ice looks smaller than the man staning on the ice even though the person in the water is closer to the camera.
We can see the hole in the ice in the shot I think. It's the bright spot in the lower part of the screen.

I thought it was probably the young girl too but got to thinking when DC said on GMA that they kept him in cold water for 12 hours during filming (or something like that).

In the scene at the Black Tie evening event where everybody suddenly stands back from Bond, I'm thinking it may be announced that Bond is infected with a virus or something..?

My first thought was a SPECTRE break-in at Porton Down, then I thought it may be SPECTRE breaking Blofeld out near the end of the film. But this is a high-rise with big windows in a big city, hardly a prison or Porton Down. Someone in MICommuntiy suggested it could be the kidnapping of the scientist, and that seems to fit better.

Or its Bond and Nomi putting their tactical pullovers to good use.

After seeing this screencap I don' belive the two assault suit clad figures are Bond and Nomi:

This person is black, but I'm pretty sure it's a man and the hairstyle is different. It's not Nomi IMO.

It might be my eyesight, but the ‘operator’ in the break in scene seems to have a strange hair cut, looks similar to the Matera motor cyclist

I've noticed the person below the ice is the young girl with the puffy jacket we saw in paparazzi shots. I'm assuming this is a young Madeleine Swann or someone she knew/grew up with. The cabin can also be seen in both the paparazzi shot and trailer.

The glass seen at either Q's house or office appears to be the same glass we see the masked figure (Safin) behind. Could this suggest Q might be in trouble?

Below is how I think the film will play out based on the trailer, what we know, leaks and other recent info like Fukunaga's recent Empire interview, and those early Spectre draft script ideas.

I think now that the 'Norway' scene with a young Madeleine and a 'younger' Safin is the PTS (which Empire magazine confirms is Safin, see the article linked to below) and as it is clear now that Madeleine is central to the plot we are getting a PTS without Bond. We saw that the Norway sequence includes scene 15K, and I think that is probably the final shot of the PTS. Skyfall's PTS went up to scene 18 (https://www.thejamesbonddossier.com/news/a-view-to-a-kill-skyfall-clapperboard-photo.htm) so it makes sense. The early scenes, 2-7 for example, could be introducing Madeleine and a young Mr White, and domestic scenes before the attack occurs.

After the titles it goes immediately to Bond and Madeleine arriving in Matera. We see an apparently romantic weekend away but the trailer shows a troubled Bond in bed suggesting the relatonship has problems. It can't be helped by the fact that Bond goes to Vesper's grave, in Matera, and that is where the attack on Bond starts. We see from the trailer that Bond and Madeleine's relationship tensions lead to Bond accusing Madeleine of betraying him. I think this might be linked to Madeleine's secret, she might be a Manchurian candidate like figure, programmed from an early age, and she is not even aware of her actions; triggered by a keyword. A Spectre agent who doesn't know she is a Spectre agent. I think the Matera chase ends with Madeleine getting on the train and Bond leading the villains including Dali Benssalah's henchman to that bridge and Bond apparently dies jumping off it, faking his own death.

I think there will be a time jump here and we'll see the scientist kidnapping, with those abseiling commandos. We may also see the Porton Down chemical lab attack. Then we'll get M and his 'where's 007,' line and it will be Nomi who is 007. Nomi goes on her mission and she goes to Jamaica. This is where they reintroduce Bond and we see his life in Jamiaca with the boat and the spear fishing, leading to his meeting with Felix Leiter. Maybe Leiter helped Bond stay hidden and in return Bond works for Leiter? I think Leiter will play a role like M here and give Bond his mission. I can't see an obvious reason why Bond would help Leiter and I can't think of a Madleine angle to the mission. Anyway, Bond bumps into Nomi in the Jamaican nightclub and somehow they end up at Bond's Jamaican home and she warns him off, 'stay in your lane,' or she'll 'put a bullet in your knee, the one that works'.

In the Fukunaga, Empire magazine trailer Q&A story (https://www.empireonline.com/movies/features/no-time-to-die-james-bond-trailer-breakdown-interview-cary-joji-fukunaga/) it says that Leiter sends Paloma to work with Bond in Cuba. Fukunaga reveals in the trailer Q&A that NTTD takes place 5 years after SPECTRE and Paloma is a CIA agent and he questions whether she will be a goodie or a baddie. In the early Spectre drafts there was a female CIA agent called Charlotte and she is a traitor, however, I think Billy Magnussen will be the traitor. I think the scene with Bond in the spotlight is, as people on social media have been suggesting, is a SPECTRE meeting/party and Magnussen probably sends Bond and Paloma there knowing they are falling into a trap. The Paloma firing guns and karate action is probably linked to Bond and Paloma escaping this SPECTRE meeting, just as Bond escaped the Rome SPECTRE meeting. We know there is a chase involving Bond and Paloma in Cuba, and Nomi seems to be involved in it also; maybe she is trailing Bond and Paloma and intervenes when they get into trouble? I think the Cuba action ends with the exploding boat and floatplane flying over it.

What is odd though is, why do the participants at that SPECTRE party appear to drop dead around Bond? Are SPECTRE's operatives given something that makes them susceptible to this gas as a means of control and Safin knows about it? If it is poison gas why isn't Bond dying? Is the gas an attack on SPECTRE, is Safin out to destroy SPECTRE and replace it with his own criminal organisation? Fukunaga does tell Empire there is a new generation of 'bad guys coming up', but Fukunaga also told Empire magazine that Blofeld will still have a nefarious plan. The Empire article also hints Blofeld may not stay in prison.

As Bond knows he encountered SPECTRE in Jamaica, this might be why he goes back to MI6 or maybe Nomi tells him he needs to return with her. We see him get the Vantage out of the garage and arrive in Whitehall. After returning to MI6, Bond visits Q, who says, 'so you're not dead,' suggesting Bond did fake his death.

We know from DC's suits that after he returns wearing the grey suit, we then see him in a darker suit when he speaks to M and Tanner at Hammersmith bridge and when he goes to see Blofeld in Wakefield prison and sees Madeleine for the first time since Matera. My guess is he meets with Tanner and M after he speaks to Blofeld. Some people have been saying that when Blofeld refers to Madeleine's secret that he is not speaking to Bond but if you watch the trailers with the foreign language subtitles and put the words that come up through Google translate, Blofeld is saying Madeleein's secret will be 'the death of you,' not him. In the English language version its unclear IMHO and sounds like 'him', but I think it is 'you'.

*NTTD trailer agency Chinagraph London has confirmed in a tweet that it is 'you' not 'him'.
    https://twitter.com/Chinagraph_L/status/1202912465245396992?s=20

Whatever occurs in London, I think Bond and Madeleine go on a mission together but this is where I am not confident and the speculation is greater. Is Q kidnapped? Is that the Safin Kabuki-like mask that we see behind the Q house glass? The mission to get Q with Madeleine goes wrong and while we saw Bond and Madeleine in the Vantage in Norway chasing after the beige SUV that is being followed by the Land Rover Defenders, somehow Bond, wearing that green coat, and Madeleine, end up in the beige SUV and being pursued by Safin's helicopter. We see a blonde woman on the backseat when Bond is driving the beige SUV, and I am wondering if she is helping an injured Q? Anyway, in the trailer we see that this sequence has Bond firing a grenade from a rifle, while wearing that green coat, and Bond on his own in a forest trying to chase after the helicopter we also see in the trailer chasing the beige SUV. I think Bond loses Madeleine, she is taken by Safin's stooges and then a dejected Bond in the same green coat walking along the road is picked up by Nomi. They then team up to storm Safin's lair.

The trailer's gunbarrel tunnel clip we saw could be part of the lair storming along with the clips of Bond shooting his weapon. The room with the lights at 37 seconds and again at 1min 49sec in the trailer appears to be part of Bond and Nomi's Safin lair attack. The algae farm scene we see at 2min 14 sc, I think that is Bond on the left and Nomi on the right. Again part of their Safin lair infiltration. But, eventually, Bond appears to reach some central chamber and encounters Safin. Why Nomi isn't there is anyone's guess. While Bond is talking to Safin, Safin's guards have caps like Dr No's guards. And Bond's reference to people who think they are God refers to Connery's line in Dr No, 'Our asylums are full of people who think they are Napoleon, or God'. In this Telegraph story (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/0/rami-maleks-bond-villain-really-says/) they speculate that Malek is Dr Julius No, but in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puiCRSHvdJk) at 8 minutes Malek says, "It's not as if I was going back to play an exact character, I wasn't playing Doctor No again." Exact character. Is Safin a clone of Dr No? Is that why his skills will not be lost?

At the end of the trailer, the Bond in gunbarrel like pose in the tunnel I think will be as Bond is escaping Safin's lair. The leaked pictures of Bond, Nomi and Lea on the beach could be the aftermath of the lair storming and the child they appeared to have with them could be a clone of Madeleine. When they're on the beach, Madeleine is distressed as she speaks into a walkie talkie. I am guessing that Bond and Nomi and Madeleine get separated and Madeleine is trying to raise Bond as he escapes, and that's where we see the tunnel gunbarrel shot.

The shots we see in the trailer which I can't place at some point in the film are, Madeleine looking at a box with the broken mask we saw from the Norway filming and a shot of what is probably Safin or a Safin goon in the Norway mask behind a window which looks like Q's. In early Spectre drafts Q is taken hostage. Is Q taken hostage to get Blofeld released?

Here’s a great interview with Rami that The Bond Experience shared over on Facebook. Interesting statement by Rami regarding the Dr. No connection. Glad we can put that speculation to rest now.

Amazing effort to decode the trailer and it's great. Let's have in mind however that back to Spectre, the trailer was a bit misguiding, at least in terms of the general tone of the movie imo.
Only hope that EON will not turn completely Marvel-like and use the trailer as a tool to take fans in a completely wrong direction - in the name of secrecy......

With NTTD’s cars being added to the BiM exhibition, there are some interesting bew details:

First one is the bike described as „Primo's Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE as seen in Matera, Italy“
-> So it‘s a safe bet to assume that Dali Benssalah‘s character is in fact named „Primo“.

Second one is „Ash's New Land Rover Defender 110“
-> Currently there’s exactly and only one character we no nothing at all about and that would be Billy Magnussen‘s.

This raises the question why he is chasing Bond in Norway/Russia and if that makes him a traitor like suspected since he is assisted by a helicopter.

Love the trailer, really looking forward to seeing the film. A tinge of melancholy however, gonna miss DC's Bond, he's absolutely made the character his own, THE best Bond IMO. My nearly-10 year old daughter has become a massive fan of the films and the character, to her DC is the only Bond she knows and she's good with that.

Confident that NTTD will give DC a fitting finale.

I think Ashe is Magnussen's corrupt CIA agent. I think Leiter says he needs Bond's help because he's the only one he can trust because he suspects Ashe, and maybe Paloma.

The leaked Spectre emails said that “allies," the CIA and MI6, "are being picked apart creating paranoia and suspicion". With Leiter paranoid about who to trust, Bond then does not trust Nomi, although she tells him who she is in Jamaica, and Bond goes to Cuba anyway for Leiter to work with Paloma, and one imagines Ashe. Ashe then betrays Bond and Paloma, who helps Bond escape the SPECTRE meeting that Ashe leads them to, and Nomi intervenes to save them, but maybe Paloma dies and maybe Primo too, but Ashe escapes.

Bond, now trusting Nomi, goes back to London and he will eventually go on a mission with Madeleine to find the scientist Waldo or find kidnapped Q, or both, and Ashe reappears in the Vantage/beige SUV/Land Rover Defender chase. I'm guessing Ashe is successful and he takes Madeleine away in that helicopter. I guess Ashe will die in Safin's lair at some point.

The last three DC film trailers follow the same pattern, they are pretty chronlogical for act one and two, with some shots interspersed early to confuse the chronology, for example in the Skyfall trailer the shot of M's laptop saying 'Think on your sins' comes after a shot of the MI6 hq exploding. But, pretty much, the tailers show the films' chronlogies up to the third act.

Skyfall's trailer actually shows the final shot of the film (at 1min 40 sec) and while Spectre's trailer doesn't, the latest shot in the film it does show is a shot of M walking on to Westminster bridge. The Skyfall and Spectre trailers both show a number of shots from the third act, for Skyfall it's the Lodge battle and for Spectre it's Bond in the ruined MI6 hq and shooting at the helicopter, as well as M on Westminster bridge.

Reflecting on all that, NTTD's trailer differs in that it starts with Matera and we know that starts at scene 16, and is unlikely to be the PTS. We don't see anything from the Norway villa/lake shoot until towards the end of the trailer; misdirection I guess. Other than that, the trailer is pretty chronological, Matera, Jamaica, Cuba, London, MI6, Blofeld, Q's house, then the SUV/Defender chase.

Before, I've previously estimated (https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/955663/#p955663) that the second act ends when Bond is in London and at about the 108 minute mark, 32 minutes before the end of a 2h 20min film, Bond leaves London for a mission that appears to now take him to Safin's lair somewhere in Russia. So, what can we tell will happen in those 32 minutes from the trailer?

I think the NTTD trailer shows far more of the third act than the Skyfall and Spectre trailers did. We see, Nomi karate kicking someone, a shot of her disappearing into the darkness, a shot of her finding Bond in a green coat on a country road; Bond in the green coat running through a forest, a helicopter flying off in the distance; shots of Bond in his commando outfit with a rifle, Bond in his green coat driving an SUV followed by the helicopter we saw flying away; Bond and Nomi in a laboratory, Bond pointing his rifle in Safin's lair; Safin and Bond in Safin's lair and Bond says history isn't kind to men who play God; Bond firing a grenade, a Land Rover flipping over, an underground algae farm, and Bond in the gunbarrel tunnel shot. Quite a lot.

I'm guessing the reason why Bond goes on his mission is Q being taken hostage. Bond goes with Madeleine. Essentially the first half of the third act is a chase with Bond and Madeleine in the Vantage and Q and Safin's goons in the SUV accompanied by the Defenders. While Bond and Madeleine rescue Q, I think ultimately they fail and Madeleine and Q, or maybe Q dies, and its only Madeleine, but either way, Bond is left as the helicopter leaves him behind.

The second half of the third act is the Bond/Nomi mission to infiltrate the lair. This begins where we see Nomi picking up Bond on the country road, and then Bond and Nomi attacking a laboratory and the scientists, they find the algae farm, and somehow Bond and Nomi get separated and Bond alone finds Safin. I'd imagine Bond and Nomi find Madeleine and they agree Nomi will exfiltrate with Madeleine, while Bond intends to kill Safin for Q's death. Bond ultimately escapes Safin's lair, I think the gunbarrel tunnel shot is part of this, and the leaked pictures we saw of Nomi and Madeleine on a rocky beach are how the Safin mission ends. In those pictures we see Bond and Nomi and Madeleine in a RIB, but how exactly the movie ends after that is anyone's guess.

There's been some talk of Bond dying in NTTD, but I don't think it's "appropriate" for Bond to die. A cliffhanger is OK, but not a clear death. The one on the good side I don't mind gets Killed is Nomi. I'vegot nothing against the actress or character , I'm just thinking of the real world after effect. I've already seen newspaper articles about who should be the next James Bond where about a third of the suggestions are women, including Lashana Lynch. To avoid rumours about "They're setting Lynch up as James Bond in future films I think it would be best if she got a heroic death in NTTD. JBR suggested Felix Leiter gets killed in Jamaica. I don't think that's a good idea. JBR said Bond needs more personal reasons to go after Safin, but I don't see that. Bond has plently reasons to go after Safin because of Madeleine, and I also belive Bond doesn't always need personal reasons to do everything.

I agree with Haphazard Stuff's John Clark comments from the James Bond & Friends podcast that it is difficult to see how they square the circle and don't offend anyone by bringing Bond back and giving him the 007 number again. Killing Nomi will attract a huge amount of negativity.

I do have questions about Bond's motivations. Why should he go on Leiter's mission? And still after Nomi's intervention? And again, why does Bond go to London after Cuba and then why does he go after Safin after London? Does Bond want revenge for Leiter or Q or both?

Is it Madeleine's secret? Is Madeleine susceptible to the same gas that apparently kills the SPECTRE party attendees in Cuba? Is Bond out to find that?

Or is Madeleine a programmed SPECTRE agent unaware she is an agent? Is she a clone? Why would she be the death of Bond? Has she been programmed to kill Bond? Is that why when her secret 'comes out,' to quote Blofeld, Bond will die?

Looking back at Marketto007's leaked Spectre emails post (https://www.ajb007.co.uk/post/945514/#p945514) I've noticed that leaked email 32966 (Wikileaks numbering) says, "what kind of a clinic is it one where people go to be turned into someone else?" Is Safin becoming Dr No? Did Oberhauser become Blofeld and that's why the original Blofeld was born in 1946? Was Madeleine born someone else?

There are a few things they can do with Nomi. She can resign as a 007, but that was done with Moneypenny and doing it twice will look like a questionable pattern. She can stay in the 00-section with another number assigned. I'm all for female 00- agents, but making her change her double 0 number because of Bond doesn't look too good. Nomi can turn out to be a double agent, but that would be the worst option I think. I don't know how much of negativity killing Nomi will cause. It's entirely possible having Nomi stopping the illan's plan and saving an untold number of people or even saving Bond herself, but losing her life while doing it.
Out of the possibilities listed I think an heroic death is the best one.

Unlikely as the film's synopsis indicates the mission Leiter sends Bond on is to find the scientist and we know Q is safe and well later in the film when Bond gets to London.

It's entirely possible having Nomi stopping the villain's plan and saving an untold number of people or even saving Bond herself, but losing her life while doing it.
Out of the possibilities listed I think an heroic death is the best one.

I could imagine a scene where Bond comes back to MI6 and is offered a double-o number and says he wants 007 and Nomi rolls her eyes and says, 'it's only a number,' and swops codenames with Bond. I could equally see Bond going off into the sunset with Madeleine and her child clone to live the happily-ever-after.

I think your solution or an heroic death are the best solutions even though both can lead to backlashes.
