As shown, £100 plaque of the same type (and era) as the ones in the iconic baccarat scene with Sylvia Trench.
Lent to the film company by the casino (Les Ambassadeurs) and doubt the list of numbers lent actually exists.
Nonetheless there are about 40 (maybe 50) of these shown on the table and as I have about 180 out of the 200 made (or that ever existed) there must be some from the film in my lot just a pity I don't know which, obviously.
This one is decent with 1 smallish ink spot on the back but lies flat, not that many do.
A proper polish/clean may improve the slightly dull look and the edges have turned a little brown like almost all have done but may benefit from (as stated) a more thorough and experienced clean. They were wrapped in tape which is where the brown marks are from in the main, doesn't affect the beauty in the slightest.
These were found in a barn in Scotland and they'd been sat in plastic boxes so I'm amazed any survived in anything like a nice condition, but they did. Not a great % of the best/better ones so plenty of cheaper ones if happy to have mis-shapen ones.
They all suffer from the same smell too (nature of the beast with plaques from this era) as the chemicals used then weren't "stable" but as long as you treat them with care, they should outlast both of us. Even I couldn't ruin them by treating them any worse than they have been.
If provenance wanted then please ask as I have many things from the casino as they came from the original owners family no less.
Sorry this is boringly lengthy but as stated earlier, I like to try to cover all possible questions, bet I missed some though.
This plaque is for sale at £300.
I sold a few of the better sets at bargain prices at the beginning as I had "payback" to do but they are still cheap (IMHO) considering what they represent, so please don't let the chance to own one pass you by.
If not to your liking then please check out ebay as I have a few up there too, mainly to show the different types of condition/grades and pricing.

By all accounts I'm actually quite harsh on these as everybody who has bought one has been more than happy so far. I'd still like to get more out there amongst the Bond collectors as it would be a shame if they all stayed with me and most plaque collectors wouldn't want the lesser graded ones. Again, the ones sold so far have pleased the buyers so...........
Please feel free to email me for any more information and if I know then I can share it.
Thanks and Happy New Year to all!!

I’d have to agree Dr’s descriptions really don’t do justice to the plaques he’s selling, a credit I think to his sincerity.

For one thing the smell (something I was initially a bit wary of before buying), really is not so noticeable unless you put the plaque right up to your nose, which let’s face it I can’t see the majority of buyers feeling the need to do this.

    Some plaques have obviously aged better than others too but all the ones I’ve purchased from him have exactly what I need for display purposes and will look great next to my framed Eunice Gayson autograph. My thanks to Dr for giving me the opportunity to own a part of Bond cinematic history -{

As before, anyone on the fence about these do yourself a favour and pick one or more up while you can, after all there aren’t many Dr No props out there anymore.

Dr -I’ve pm’d you as well, thanks

Thanks for the kind words too, appreciated.

Seriously folks. The first Bond prop from the most iconic scene in Bond cinema history. The price is insanely low for what they are, and are an utterly incredible investment. Feel free to buy a hideously inaccurate Spectre mask for more. Or buy these, the actual plaques from Le Cercle, used in the first Bond film and NOT replicas.

Thanks again for the kind words and I'm hoping it'll do the trick so more go to the proper homes but hey.........we can only try. Happy to have another satisfied buyer who will treasure the plaques forever, it actually means a lot knowing there are some out there in collections/exhibits that will last long after me.
    Have fun and keep enjoying.

Many thanks Doctor, latest purchase received safely and in super fast time too -{ great service as usual!

As a set, the plaques all look fantastic, the colours really pop when together, the £500 especially.

    I’ve now got Dr No lined up to see in the new year with a glass of Macallan -{

Happy new year to you and yours!

Glad you are happy, that's the most important thing.
We watched Dr No the other day so......enjoy.
Spectre tonight as we feel as watching any that come on being the least we can do after all the excitement of the find so...........
Enjoy your night and 2020, thanks again for the kind words.

Sorry all but just to say thanks to another happy buyer of a set (in installments) which makes it all worthwhile. I know it sounds sad but I still hope to place some of these in the best Bond collections and so far, as all buyers have been happy, it's working out pretty well. Lots of cash donated to worthwhile charities too which just "tastes" nicer if you know what I mean. It looks like the "rush" has stopped but you never know as it's not too late to pick up a decent set as I do have some left. Obviously they are in various states of condition but still a great collectable to pick up if you can. I plan to have one last sales drive when the new film comes out so with any luck the rest of the good ones will go to their new forever homes then so..............quick heads up.

Just listed some more sets and singles on ebay so please take a look if interested in acquiring a piece of history from the first Bond film. Thanks, hope to hear from a couple of you...............

It's been a year since I had the good fortune to find these plaques and there are still some on ebay if interested but they will probably be going away after this "sales drive" so please, if they are of interest, get in touch or you may miss out.

Thanks Matt and Alex, the most important part is that the people who buy a set (or a single) are happy.
I have seen some great displays of these and am glad that many will be treasured for years to come.
I still have a few of them but am getting down to the not so great conditioned ones now.
Thank you again to all the buyers and I hope you are all still pleased.

Hi, yes was speaking to Andy (banshee-uk) I've brought a few items off him, Club Talc and OHMSS compact lately. He said you are the man to see and drop his name in to the conservation. He is also offering me a set of reproduction Le Cercle cards.

    Ah yes, Andy, good man.

Let me know what you are looking for and we can go from there.

Have a great evening and hope to speak again soon.

Yes would love to start off with a £10, have a card shoe, Banshee is sorting some cards, cigarette case shouldn’t be too bad, but those Broadboy lighters are hard too come by and really hold there price
